The text from this magazine blurb reads (scans of it are below),
  • Madonna Diva Demands!
Material girl, indeed! In order to commit to a tour this summer - a 12-week production that could earn her up to $150 million- Madonna has some specific demands, says a source close to the singer.

On her wish list: a private jet for her family and entourage (including her kabbalah teachers, a personal chef and a masseuse). Plus, she'll tour only from June through August, during her kids' school break.

"Madonna ha been driving concert promoters crazy," the source says.

Meanwhile, the singer's longstanding feud with Mariah Carey continues!

Although both pop divas are set to appear at the upcoming Brit Awards and the French NRJ Music Awards, "Madonna wants the queen dressing room and her choice of when she will performs in the shows," says the source. Madonna's rep did not respond to the message.

2006 Madonna Tour Taking Shape
  • January 23, 2006, 10:30 AM ET
    Ray Waddell, Nashville

In the clearest sign yet that a Madonna tour will happen in 2006, sources say Arthur Fogel has nailed down the promotion rights for the outing. Fogel is president of TNA International, Live Nation's global touring division. The tour will come in support of Madonna's 2005 album, "Confessions on a Dancefloor."

Fogel produced Madonna's ReInvention tour in 2004 and Drowned World tour in 2002, which grossed a combined $200 million. He got the nod from Madonna's camp despite what sources say was a concentrated effort from rival promoter AEG Live to promote the tour.

Fogel, who declined to comment, seems to be solidly in place in the Madonna touring business. "Arthur Fogel knows how to make the impossible possible," she was quoted as saying in Billboard last summer. "He's a touring genius."

"If I go on tour, it would be next summer," Madonna told Billboard in November. "And it would be all out disco, with lots of disco balls. I would focus on dance music and the new record. I already did the older stuff on my Re-Invention tour."

Madonna Prepares Her Tour for Later This Year
  • Jan 24, 2006

Madonna's next concert tour looks set to be this year.

Arthur Fogel, the superstar's man behind the scenes, is confident that she will be back on the road in the next few months.

Fogel is the President of TNA International, the company who helped put together the ReInvention Tour in 2004 and the Drowned World Tour in 2002, which generated more than $200 million in revenue.

In an interview with Billboard magazine, Madonna herself indicated that she might tour this summer: "If I go on tour, it would be next summer, and it would be all out disco, with lots of disco balls. I would focus on dance music and the new record. I already did the older stuff on my Re-Invention tour."

Madonna Coming Down Under (Tour to go to Australia)
  • MADONNA looks set to include Australia on her 2006 world tour.

American industry insiders say Madonna will tour the US through June and July then head to Europe before touring Japan and Australia towards the end of 2006.

She would cap off a superstar summer with Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue tipped to tour here at the end of the year.

Madonna is expected to perform outdoor shows in Australia, meaning she'd need to tour closer to summer.

The star's last two tours have bypassed Australia. Her last visit was in 1993.

"If I go to Japan I'll go to Australia, I promise!" Madonna told the Herald Sun in October.

From Drowned Madonna
  • Madonna.com reports about Gaultier to design Madonna's new tour costumes.

Madonna's official website, Madonna.com, reports part of the article from WWD we also published yesterday about Madonna revealing that Jean Paul Gaultier will design her new tour costumes.

Finally, this is a sort of "confirmation" of what Drowned Madonna is claiming since more than 1 year ago: Madonna is going to tour this summer.

    Gaultier to Design Tour Costumes.

PARIS- Madonna, absent from fashion front row for years, unleashed pandemonium at the couture shows here Wednesday afternoon when she arrived at Jean Paul Gaultier.
The paparazzi surged dangerously, with camera crews sneaking in between the rows to get footage of the pop superstar. Dressed all in black with wraparound sunglasses, Madonna told WWD, Gaultier is going to design the costumes for my next show. We are going to discuss ...

Madonna To Take Krumpers on Tour - Contact Music
  • MADONNA is to take photographer/film-maker DAVID LaCHAPELLE's RIZE dancers on tour with her this year (06).

The pop superstar was so impressed with LaChapelle's documentary, highlighting Los Angeles' krumping dance phenomenon, that she's taking the energetic body poppers on the road.

Madonna's Confessions Of A Dance Floor tour kicks off this spring (06) in Europe.

From Man-donna Tribe:
  • Billboard on Madonna's tour announcement

During an appearance on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show" today, Madonna confirmed widely speculated plans for a 2006 tour. "You have a huge announcement that I'm so excited about," said DeGeneres, to which Madonna quipped, "No, I'm not pregnant."

"OK, I can't hide it anymore: I'm going on tour this summer," she continued. Beyond the time of year, specific details regarding the outing were not revealed during the show. A spokesperson did not respond to requests for comment by deadline.

The appearance was taped in Los Angeles, where Madonna was on hand to open last night's Grammy Awards telecast with "virtual band" Gorillaz. DeGeneres also appeared on the show, introducing Paul McCartney's performance by saying he "needs no introduction" and walking off the stage.
