Lets hope this is a permanent change! No more of Madoona's photo shopped carcass. Lara Stone takes Madonna's place as the new face of Louis Vuitton Move over Madge there's a new Louis Vuitton model in town. Yes that's right, Madonna, who has been the face of the brand for two years, has been replaced by pretty (not to mention younger) gapped tooth model Lara Stone. Lara will be fronting Louis Vuitton's S/S '10 campaign, which will be shot by famous photographer Stephen Meisel. We hope she'll carry on where Madge left off and wear some key looks from the designer brand out.

From one fashion house to another, Grandonna is going to be super-photo shopped in this one. Madonna models for Dolce & Gabbana Dolce & Gabbana shot the Queen of Pop for their spring 2010 campaign at the weekend. Just a few weeks ago the fashion world was a-buzz with whispers that Madonna was set to star in the Spring 2010 campaign for Dolce & Gabbana menswear. And while those rumours proved to be untrue, it seems that the Queen of Pop couldn't resist stepping in front of the camera for her friends. We hear that over the weekend the Italian design duo joined Madonna in New York to shoot the campaign for their spring womenswear collection. Thanks to Stefano Gabbana's love of tweeting we can fill you in on some of the details: the ads will be Sicilian-themed and were shot in Brooklyn by renowned fashion photographer Stephen Klein, and while the pictures are under wraps Stefano says 'The campaign with Madonna is beautifull ( 4 me ) i cant say anything about!!!' Madonna is fast becoming a regular fashion face - she has appeared in much-talked about campaigns for Louis Vuitton for the past two seasons. We can't wait to see how she looks in Dolce & Gabbana's signature sexy pieces. |

Move Over Madonna When one door closes, another opens. We’ll sort of miss Madonna‘s insanely airbrushed Louis Vuitton ads, but we certainly don’t mind staring at their new spring muse, supermodel Lara Stone. |

Anshirk already posted about this story about a week ago. I'm posting about it in other threads because recent appearances of this story have a different slant. In some stories, the authors are giggling that a 51 year old Madonna has been replaced by a 25 year old model (see the 'Old Lady' thread for links to those stories). Some headlines, like this one, just flat out say, "She was fired." Madonna Fired |

The entire Dolce & Gabbana ad campaign has been posted on this blog. These don't include the ones that show her 'cooking'. These additional shots show the hag sitting on a chair with a broom, lying on a bed (her hands are severely airbrushed on all pics, lol), and a couple more random ones. |

Who buys the stuff anyways not me. MADONNA - DOLCE & GABBANA 'FEARED' HIRING MADONNA FOR AD CAMPAIGN DOLCE & GABBANA 'FEARED' HIRING MADONNA FOR AD CAMPAIGN Top Italian fashion designers DOMENICO DOLCE and STEFANO GABBANA had to think twice before approaching MADONNA and asking her to be the new face of their luxury label, because they feared a business deal would sour their friendship. Madonna was unveiled as the spokesmodel for Dolce & Gabbana's spring/summer 2010 campaign last year (09) when black and white shots of the pop superstar, taken by noted photographer Steven Klein, hit the Internet, and the celebrated designers admit they hesitated at the thought of working with the Material Girl. Gabbana tellsl W Magazine, "There was a sort of fear on our behalf of asking Madonna to do anything business. We thought it could impact our relationship, and Madonna is one of the few people we're really in awe of. To have Madonna in our campaign is a dream come true." Dolce & Gabbana feared hiring Madonna for ad campaign |

Madonna: Sorry, you are not invited!! Can you believe that there is a designer, who doesn’t want the Pop Queen to attend his Fashion Show? Yes, this news is true, and according to The Hindu, this man is Marc Jacobs, who is supposedly a friend of Madonna. Every year he organizes a big fashion show of his own designs, and he is known to invite many celebrities which includes Lady GaGa, Victoria Beckham, and nevertheless Madonna. But, against all contrary, he has decided to dump all his famous friends this year. Basically in any fashion show, the big stars always come and embrace the front row. This gives the designer a much needed fame, and it is also a good way of earning. Jacobs used to be no different, but form this year he has said that he finds the celebrity culture ‘very boring’. Madonna just called and said she was coming, and we weren’t holding the show for her…. Last year it generated so much press but at a certain point it was like, ‘Did anybody actually watch the show?”Said the designer. Now that was rude! Notably, last year this man himself invited the pop queen Madonna, and Lady Gaga, and they provided him a lot of media glare. But suddenly, this year he has decided to ditch them. Some are saying that this person is very talented. People, who take help of celebrities by inviting them in their shows to showcase their ‘talent’ instead of their hard work, are certainly not talented. Well, that could be a good enough reason for staying away from ‘celebritism’, but he should understand that there is something called friendship, and also, thecelebrities like Rihanna and Beyonce can paid more than $50,000 per show, which does provide a good financial impact. In the past he has worked with Victoria Beckham, Dakota Fanning, M.I.A. & Lady Gaga. |

Madonna Inks Teenage Fashion, Perfume Deals, Beats World to "Material Girl" Joke Anything that Stella McCartney can do, Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone Penn Ritchie Insert Your Name Here And Win A Prize! obviously feels she can do better. She's just inked a deal with Iconix Brand Group that will see her producing a range of clothes for children that will be sold at Macy. The MG Icon range (that's Material Girl) will cost between $12 and $40 and comprise of back-to-school apparel, footwear, handbags, and jewelry. It'll be interesting to know which of her looks the once-chameleonic star will take inspiration from. As far as I can remember, the Disco Slut era was followed by the Lapsed Catholic Slut era, which in turn begat the Days of Tassels-On-Ma-Wotsits, and Italians Do It Better. What is most ironic about this announcement is that, while once she really was a fashion icon, recent years have seen her pottering about in Adidas tracksuits, Ed Hardy tees, and big puffy anoraks. A new set of priorities, perhaps. And then there was this--M's first foray into fashion retailing: her collection for H&M. Capsule-like in its unadventurousness, the only thing you could really say about it was don't light a cigarette while you're wearing any of the mainly-black, mostly-shiny garments. There was also, if I remember rightly, a risible pair of sunglasses with a gilt M on the arms. While the statement from Iconix was positively fawning spaniel-like in its euphoria, Madonna's was a bit more cool. "Joining forces to bring my fashion ideas to consumers is very exciting for me," she said. But you've got to give her a break. Famed for her multi-tasking, she probably whipped off this statement at the same time she was chowing down on some macrobiotic mung beans, minimizing her bingo wings, laying down the lyrics for her next album, showing up on The Marriage Ref, feeding the chickens, healing the world, and berating an assistant. Those of you who feel too old to be able to really work the look will have to wait for the singer's fragrance to be released sometime next year. As to what it will smell like--money, a virgin?--well, your guess is as good as mine. |

Now that would make the game silly wouldn't it, some stupid publicity, with madoona around, it would make it a real dumb way to play the game. Madonna and Bingo?!? It may seem like an unlikely match for some, but one Taunton resident has outlined plans for their local Mecca Bingo hall that would see Madonna perform alongside the usual eyes down action! According to the BBC website, plans have been put forward by campaigner Jim Laflin from Project Gaumount to turn the current Mecca Bingo hall into a venue, with the aim of attracting “top stars such as Madonna”. Mr Laflin has already claimed to have received some interest from the National Ballet regarding his plans, and has indicated that Lloyd Webber’s musicals could perform there. The plans include a youth club, outside music and events arena, gallery, bars and restaurants. “We believe this building is grossly underused,” said Jim. The listed building was originally opened as the Gaumont Palace Theatre in 1932. It is currently occupied by Mecca Bingo, and seems to be in no bad shape financially. A Mecca Bingo spokesperson said they had “no plans to go anywhere” and that they currently make a profit, attracting around 2,000 customers per week, it’s nice to know that some traditional halls are still fighting the good fight despite the online bingo boom. But despite Mecca Bingo’s less than welcoming response to Laflin’s plans, Jim still believes the building could accommodate his plans alongside bingo, with the bingo games being held in the grand building above the main entrance. This would then free up the auditorium, which has a 1,750 capacity, to “restore it to a tier one theatre”. They would also turn Castle car park into an outdoor music arena. “They might say they have no plans to move out and I’m quite sure as of today they don’t, but why would a business turn down the possibility of saving £100,000 per annum when really there is no disadvantage to them whatever,” he added. A spokesman said it would be inappropriate for Taunton Deane Borough Council to comment on the merits or viability of Project Gaumont ahead of the public meeting. However, he did say that the Council was “aware of the architectural and cultural heritage of this important Listed building locally, regionally and nationally and would wish to see it preserved for future generations”. Some locals have pointed out the likelihood of stadium stars, such as Madonna, to perform at a hall with a capacity of less than 2,000 may be a little unlikely, but who knows?! If Jim Laflin gets his way, maybe Taunton bingo players could find Madge calling out a few games in between songs!! |
