This appeared on madonnalicious.com, and the web mistress got this from madonna.com, which is Madonna's official site:
  • Posted: 10 May 2007 - From madonna.com

Musician, Singer, Dancer, Book Writer, Model, Actress.... In addition to the many looks she has created for herself over the past 25 years, Madonna has also successfully tasted many variations of the artistic world by taking each of them as a personal challenge. ....

Madonna and the tweens
  • MADONNA -- entertainer, author and celebrity-mom extraordinaire -- has four new installments due out in her children's book series, "The English Roses."

From madonnalicious.com
  • ....In her first interview about her new album Hard Candy, worked on with Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, and Timbaland, Madonna discusses her many different, and occasionally contradictory, roles – as performer and provocateur, mother and artist, style icon and campaigner.
Why do they always leave "nose picker" and "butt scratcher" off the list of Madonna's many contrived- for- media- attention roles???

'Indefatigable' Madonna to be enshrined in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Monday
  • by John Soeder/Plain Dealer Pop Music Critic
    Saturday March 08, 2008

    [Referring to Madonna:]

Shape-shifting musical chameleon. Ultra-glamorous star of stage and screen. Trendsetting fashionista. Author of the infamous "SEX" coffee-table book and, er, a series of children's titles. Kabbalah devotee.

Madonna - Hard Candy album / 4 Minutes single feat. Justin Timberlake
  • Madonna is the biggest selling female solo artist ever. A multi-Grammy-award-winning singer, songwriter, producer, stage performer, children's book author, director and documentary film maker, she has sold over 200 million albums in the course of her unprecedented two decade plus career...

Madonna sups deep at the fountain of youth
  • By Jan Moir
    March 26, 2008

Pop songs. Acting. Budget clothing ranges. Marriage. Charity. Adoption of quasi-orphans. Mission to instruct poor African country in the ways of Kabbalah. Directing films. Making documentaries. Sex goddess until death or bus pass, whichever comes first.
The rest of this editorial is gross - she heaps praise on Man-donna for her appearance.

Saw that article on bloody India times they are trying desperately to promote her badly over there they feature her video repeatedly on the likes of these channels a constant nuisance.

http://www.indya.com/

1. Star Gold - a Hindi (Indian language) movie channel has nothing to do with mandonna nor music (its a channel that hosts old Indian movies)
What does her music have to do with it. I had it on and suddenly out of no where stupid hard candy was played she just removes her clothes with Timberlake help that’s all I saw in it. They announce her the chosen one on channel 'V' to add to the misery.

2. Star world - English serial channel

3. Channel below has made her chosen one for ASIA
http://intl.channelv.com/v.htm

They keep on putting that sicko -video scope show of the hag, sick of it! I stopped watching the channel a decade ago! madoooonna this madoona that! shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!

Why don't these writers just declare Madonna what is the word, an auteur? - or 'Renaissance Man' and be done with it?

Video: Madonna Gets Silly on Set
  • June 2008

Over the years, we've come to associate Madonna with a variety of characters: control freak, yoga master, sex goddess, ageless re-inventor, granny leotard enthusiast. But there's one thing no one's ever dared label her: silly.

Someone, please, do a Google News (or regular google) search for 'Madonna +half-her-age.'

I've been seeing this "half her age" stuff pop up in every fifth article about Madonna.

Strike a pose: Madonna puts on a jaw-dropping show as A-list friends cheer her on at Wembley
  • Her [Madonna's] energetic routine would have put to shame artists half her age, and proved those hours in her private gym have paid off.
Also uses the phrase "still got it" below a photo of Man-donna at the bottom of the page

Continuing on with the "half her age" line (or variations of age cliches, like "50 is the new 20" etc)...

Madonna's music ages gracefully as tour hits USA
  • By Elysa Gardner, USA TODAY
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — 50 is the new 25. Or at least, that's what Madonna seemed intent on proving at her first U.S. concert since reaching that half-century milestone.

Kicking off the U.S. leg of her Sticky & Sweet tour at the Izod Center, the pop icon exhibited the energy, not to mention the muscle tone, of a woman half her age during a 23-song set that chronicled her storied career, from '80s hits to songs from this year's release Hard Candy.

I'm glad when writers acknowledge that Madonna is not the only woman, or first woman to do "X," whatever "X" may be.

Here's an interview between Williams and some journalist at the AP (Associated Press):

Q&A: Williams talks about new CD, 'Ugly Betty'
  • Madonna isn't the only master when it comes to reinvention.

In her two decades-plus career, Vanessa Williams has been the beauty queen, the hit-making singer, Broadway star and marquee film actress, and in the last few years, she's captivated fans yet again with her Emmy-nominated comedic turn as the power-grabbing Wilhelmina Slater on ABC's "Ugly Betty."

This month, the 45-year-old returns to one of her past roles with the release of a new album, "The Real Thing."

In a recent interview, Williams talked about her music, the TV role that defines her for many of her fans, and how they relate to her as a result.

AP: What's the key to your success over the decades?

Williams: Besides talent and being prepared for whatever, you have to stay open, you have to be flexible and think about your options and not get stuck in a rut and do the same thing, if this works, well, I've gotta do it 10 different times, always be willing to explore and reach beyond your comfort zone.

AP: How do your fans relate to you?

Williams: Younger kids know me from "Hannah Montana," 8 and younger ... and I would say (those in their) 20s know me from "Ugly Betty," and then anyone over mid-30s, 40s know me from my music. And above that, it's probably Miss America.

Unlike Madonna, Vanessa can sing and act. And I remember her for her music ("Dreamin'", "The Sweetest Days", "Oh How The Years Go By", "Save The Best For Last", her version of "Colours Of The Wind" from Disney's Pocahontas) more than her acting... although I did see her in the movie Eraser and some episodes of Ugly Betty.

She also appeared in a VH1-produced movie (part of their Movies That Rock productions) called A Diva's Christmas Carol. This was before her appearance in Ugly Betty, and she was downright hilarious as the main character "Ebony" Scrooge. You can buy the DVD on the cheap at Amazon.

Madonna, journalist? Pop icon pens first-person Kabbalah article for Israeli newspaper
  • Madonna: pop icon, singer, actress … Israeli journalist
They left out "dancer," "children's book author," "provocateur," and the newest, over-used favorites, "cougar," and "humanitarian." :rolleyes2:
