Who the f**k are YOU to decide what is more important when it comes to the issues? Believe it or not, THAT IS WHAT YOU DID WITH YOUR POST.

Okay, so just exactly WHEN will morality become important in your lofty view? What is it about these other issues that make it so much more important than teaching people basic values, and expecting people to follow said basic values?

Do NOT force YOUR values into me. I said it's not important TO ME and if it is to you, then GREAT! good for you...I'll let it be. To me morality it's not that important. OK? I don't feel like rambling about it because I am SURE you're not going to like I am going to say and someone is going to scream time out. Do NOT wake up the beast.

Ok, guys. That's it. This is precisely what I did not want to happen.

I'm locking this thread so everyone can have a chance to cool down. I'm also putting a hold on all political discussions until next Sunday (the 12th). Until then, any political discussions anyone attempts to start will be immediately closed.

Until you can all act like adults and stop accusing each other of shoving what is clearly your opinions down each other's throats, and learn to share, I'm going to be watching you all like a hawk to make sure you can play nice.

Get it? Got it? Good!

I haven't read all the posts in this thread since I last posted to it (ditto with the Sarah Palin thread), nor do I know if I will ever go back and review them. (If I do, I might comment on any older posts that grab my attention some other time.)
Obama is the most liberal candidate we've had running for President ever, and if he gets elected, he will most definitely raise taxes and screw up the economy.

If SkylerKnows is so concerned about his pocketbook...

(unless he's a troll and he just finds getting people riled up over politics is amusing and doesn't really care about the election - which may be the case, since he suddently dropped from sight when the politcial threads were locked down, ahem)

...then a pocket book voter choosing Obama makes absolutely no sense.

Obama's "Tax Cut" Sleight of Hand - Proof
  • Obama's 95% Illusion
It depends on what the meaning of 'tax cut' is.

One of Barack Obama's most potent campaign claims is that he'll cut taxes for no less than 95% of "working families." He's even promising to cut taxes enough that the government's tax share of GDP will be no more than 18.2% -- which is lower than it is today.

One of Barack Obama's most potent campaign claims is that he'll cut taxes for no less than 95% of "working families." He's even promising to cut taxes enough that the government's tax share of GDP will be no more than 18.2% -- which is lower than it is today.

It's a clever pitch, because it lets him pose as a middle-class tax cutter while disguising that he's also proposing one of the largest tax increases ever on the other 5%.

But how does he conjure this miracle, especially since more than a third of all Americans already pay no income taxes at all? There are several sleights of hand, but the most creative is to redefine the meaning of "tax cut."

For the Obama Democrats, a tax cut is no longer letting you keep more of what you earn.

In their lexicon, a tax cut includes tens of billions of dollars in government handouts that are disguised by the phrase "tax credit."

Mr. Obama is proposing to create or expand no fewer than seven such credits for individuals:

    - A $500 tax credit ($1,000 a couple) to "make work pay" that phases out at income of $75,000 for individuals and $150,000 per couple.

    - A $4,000 tax credit for college tuition.

    - A 10% mortgage interest tax credit (on top of the existing mortgage interest deduction and other housing subsidies).

    - A "savings" tax credit of 50% up to $1,000.

    - An expansion of the earned-income tax credit that would allow single workers to receive as much as $555 a year, up from $175 now, and give these workers up to $1,110 if they are paying child support.

    - A child care credit of 50% up to $6,000 of expenses a year.

    - A "clean car" tax credit of up to $7,000 on the purchase of certain vehicles.

Here's the political catch. All but the clean car credit would be "refundable," which is Washington-speak for the fact that you can receive these checks even if you have no income-tax liability.

In other words, they are an income transfer -- a federal check -- from taxpayers to nontaxpayers. Once upon a time we called this "welfare," or in George McGovern's 1972 campaign a "Demogrant." Mr. Obama's genius is to call it a tax cut.

The Tax Foundation estimates that under the Obama plan 63 million Americans, or 44% of all tax filers, would have no income tax liability and most of those would get a check from the IRS each year.

The Heritage Foundation's Center for Data Analysis estimates that by 2011, under the Obama plan, an additional 10 million filers would pay zero taxes while cashing checks from the IRS.

The total annual expenditures on refundable "tax credits" would rise over the next 10 years by $647 billion to $1.054 trillion, according to the Tax Policy Center. This means that the tax-credit welfare state would soon cost four times actual cash welfare.

By redefining such income payments as "tax credits," the Obama campaign also redefines them away as a tax share of GDP. Presto, the federal tax burden looks much smaller than it really is.

The political left defends "refundability" on grounds that these payments help to offset the payroll tax.

And that was at least plausible when the only major refundable credit was the earned-income tax credit. Taken together, however, these tax credit payments would exceed payroll levies for most low-income workers.

It is also true that John McCain proposes a refundable tax credit -- his $5,000 to help individuals buy health insurance.

We've written before that we prefer a tax deduction for individual health care, rather than a credit.

But the big difference with Mr. Obama is that Mr. McCain's proposal replaces the tax subsidy for employer-sponsored health insurance that individuals don't now receive if they buy on their own.

It merely changes the nature of the tax subsidy; it doesn't create a new one.

There's another catch: Because Mr. Obama's tax credits are phased out as incomes rise, they impose a huge "marginal" tax rate increase on low-income workers.

The marginal tax rate refers to the rate on the next dollar of income earned. As the nearby chart illustrates [view chart here], the marginal rate for millions of low- and middle-income workers would spike as they earn more income.

Some families with an income of $40,000 could lose up to 40 cents in vanishing credits for every additional dollar earned from working overtime or taking a new job.

As public policy, this is contradictory.

The tax credits are sold in the name of "making work pay," but in practice they can be a disincentive to working harder, especially if you're a lower-income couple getting raises of $1,000 or $2,000 a year.

One mystery -- among many -- of the McCain campaign is why it has allowed Mr. Obama's 95% illusion to go unanswered.
Obama plan: tax cuts or Demogrants?
-Obama’s “tax cuts” explained

Excerpt:
  • Six of the seven listed in the Obama plan are these “refundables”, money people get from the federal government even if they pay no taxes at all. These are not “tax cuts” but instead welfare grants based on specific social policy. It’s blatant redistributionism, as the money comes from tax increases on the wealthy.

....Obama’s plan actually makes people more dependent on federal government, and expands it significantly. It adds to the entitlement mentality while doing nothing about rewarding risk.

This plan will penalize risk and encourage the wealthy to find even more shelters for their income and capital, more likely outside the US, which will mean fewer jobs and fewer opportunities.

Why Obama's socialism matters

Barack [Obama] Says He Plans to "Spread the Wealth Around"
  • Those who buy into the politics of envy and resentment will think it's just fine that the government starts taxing -- not simply to fund the functions that are necessary -- but to enforce Obama's vision of "equality."

More clear-headed people realize that when "the rich" (a group that includes a sizable proportion of small businesses) are paying more in taxes, that means that less capital is available to hire people, expand their business, donate to charity, or purchase goods and services (an activity that creates jobs and keeps the economy humming).

Barack has even said that he intends to press forward with his tax hike despite the likelihood of a recession.

What that shows -- as with his determination to raise capital gains taxes even if it results in less money for the treasury -- is that he sees taxation not as a way to make sure that legitimate government functions are funded and that those in need are cared for . . . and more as a vehicle for social engineering.
OBAMA'S ETHNIC / FAMILY BACKGROUND

Is Obama even a black man?

I keep hearing that his ancestry is actually mostly Arab, not black:
  • Barack Hussein Obama is not half black.

If elected, he would be the first Arab-American President, not the first black President.

Barack Hussein Obama is 50% Caucasian from his mother's side and 43.75% Arabic and 6.25% African Negro from his father's side. While Barack Hussein Obama's father was from Kenya ,his father's family was mainly Arabs.

Barack Hussein Obama's father was only 12.5% African Negro and 87.5% Arab (his father's birth certificate even states he's Arab, not African Negro).
The above was sent to me via an e-mail, so I cannot say how accurate the information is.

If it it accurate, it perturbs me, since Obama's campaign has been depicting him as a black man (as though his white mother doesn't even exist), and some of Obama's supporters have trotted out the race card, even in the face of Non-racist, legitimate criticisms of the man.

Obama`s Desperate Equivalency Gambit
  • Oct 13, 2008
    [by] Timothy Birdnow

One of the oldest tricks in politics -- at least on the left -- is to accuse your enemy of that which you are most guilty. Barack Obama has been taking a beating based on his personal and political associations, particularly with the terrorist William Ayers, formerly of the Weather Underground, and his campaign has decided not to take it anymore.

An article in the Chicago Tribune has launched a counterattack, claiming parity with John McCain`s open friendship with former Watergate burglar G. Gordon Liddy. This line of attack has been making the rounds in left-wing circles, and the Kos crowd think they have found a magic shield to protect their anointed Messiah.

The problem with this argument is that Liddy performed an act of burglary at the behest of his superiors, a matter of political espionage carried out by a soldier who obeyed orders. He did not bomb the Pentagon, Capitol, or try to kill people as Ayers has done. Such a comparison is a stretch, to say the least.

It should also be pointed out that Obama`s voting record is in line with Ayers (Obama having the most liberal voting record in the Senate), while McCain is clearly a center-right legislator, far from Liddy`s viewpoint.

Who is influenced by their associations? Obama is a radical in suit and tie; McCain loves poking conservatives in the eyeballs.

Liddy may have held a fundraiser for McCain, but there is every reason to believe that Ayers is more than just a casual supporter; he launched Obama`s political career in his home, after all. These are associations that are radically different in terms of degree.

Let us not forget some of Obama`s other friends; Jeremiah Wright, who called on God to curse America, Bernardine Dohrn (Ayers' wife and partner in crime), communist Frank Marshall Davis.

How about his [Obama's] connections with slimeball criminal Tony Rezko? How about his campaigning for Leftist Raila Odinga rel="nofollow" in Kenya?

Odinga was part of an attempted coup in Kenya, and his people threatened civil war when he lost in recent elections (with murder and mayhem being perpetrated by his followers), so he was granted power sharing. (Obama`s actions in intervening in the elections of another country is of dubious legality, by the way.)

How about his [Obama's] friends in the Black Panthers, or his Che Guevera-loving volunteers? How about his friends in the Chicago Democratic Socialist of America?

Oh, and let`s not forget his sweet wife who has badmouthed her homeland on more than one occasion.

It also bears pointing out that McCain has been in the public eye for decades, and has never hidden his friendship with the rather eccentric Liddy. Obama is asking us to give him the most sensitive position in the land, and yet he has denied or downplayed his association with Ayers and other radicals.

The dishonesty and lack of transparency is key here; to borrow a phrase which may be familiar to Mr. Liddy, it isn`t the crime it`s the coverup.

Why does Obama feel it necessary to hide his associations?

We have a long pedigree with McCain, and at least know where he stands.

Obama is an enigma-by design. Do we dare trust a man who has so much he wants to keep hidden?

That this has cropped up at this point in time suggests that the Ayers/Odinga/Marshall/CDSA associations are hurting Obama, and so he pulled this rather dubious card out of his sleeve. If this election were over, as the media would have us believe, why would Obama`s supporters feel the need to bring this rather desperate attempt at moral equivalency to the fore?

Obama's Association with ACORN

Video: The obligatory “Obama says ACORN will help set his agenda, sort of” clip

Huffington Post [Liberal Blog] and ACORN Cover Up Obama's ACORN Days

Excerpt:
  • And in Ohio, ACORN admits voter fraud is just part of doing business.

Meanwhile, the HuffPost denies that Project Vote is now and has for years been the voter mobilization arm of ACORN.

But now that ACORN is getting bad press by the bushel, HuffPost writer Seth Colter Walls argues that when Barack Obama ran Project Vote in 1992 it wasn’t technically a part of ACORN.

....Walls’s article is meant to serve as a distraction from the fact that Obama has long been directly involved with ACORN. And unlike the HuffPost, we have proof.

An article by Toni Foulkes of ACORN dispels all doubt. In the article, “Case Study: Chicago-The Barack Obama Campaign,” which appeared in Social Policy magazine in 2004, Foulkes makes it abundantly clear that ACORN and Project Vote were partners in the voter registration drive.

The blog Sweetness & Light has reprinted the text of the article.
Obama Distorts ACORN Ties
  • Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s campaign has been forced to revise statements about their Obama’s get-out-the vote work for the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now, a non-profit roiled in allegations of voter registration fraud.

Obama’s website “Fight the Smears,” designed to counteract misinformation about the candidate’s record, contained false information about Obama’s connections to ACORN.

Before news outlets reported Obama worked as an ACORN trainer in 1992, the website said, “Fact: Barack was never an ACORN trainer and never worked for ACORN in any other capacity.”

The website later revised their “fact” to say: “Fact: ACORN never hired Obama as trainer, organizer, or any type of employee.”

The conservative leaning blog Gateway Pundit published archived screenshots of the Fight the Smears site showing the discrepancy.

As a presidential candidate Obama has extensive ties to the group currently being accused of voter registration fraud in 11 states. He is the first national candidate ever to hire ACORN for get-out-the-vote activities. Obama’s campaign paid $800,000 to a subsidiary of the liberally-leaning non-profit Association of Community Organizers for Reform called Citizens Services Incorporated campaign to increase voter turnout, but initially did not properly disclose this information on financial disclosure reports.

The Obama campaign said it hired CSI to do “polling, advance work and staging events” according to reports submitted to the FEC during the Democratic primary. The FEC later said the Obama campaign needed to disclose ACORN was engaging in get out the vote activities last August. At the time the Obama campaign called the mistake a “clerical error.”

Obama sought ACORN’s endorsement in the Democratic primary telling ACORN members, “Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work.” “Project Vote” is the name ACORN’s voter registration drives are called. Obama worked for Project Vote for a period of roughly seven months in 1992.

ACORN endorsed Obama for president in February 2008.

Before becoming a member of the Illinois State Senate, Obama represented ACORN in a lawsuit to help push for “Motor Voter” laws to make it easier for low-income persons to vote.

Later, as director of the Woods Fund and Chairman of the Board of Chicago Annenberg Challenge Obama helped steer funds to ACORN through various grants.

His laptop could have told him that the war on terror is a war against terrorists and an ideology, not against a country. The 9/11 terrorists came from Saudi Arabia. Using his logic, we should have attacked Saudi, not Afghanistan.

Most Americans certainly want to capture Osama Bin Laden, so if Obama is certain that he is in Afghanistan, why doesn't he tell the military the location of the cave he is in so they can send a bunker bomb?
I watched part of Rick Warren's interview with Obama a couple of days ago, where Warren asked Obama about abortion. Warren asked Obama when does Obama think life begins, and Obama totally skirted around the question! :bad:

Evidence Mounts: Ayers Co-Wrote Obama's Dreams
  • by Jack Cashill
Evidence continues to mount that Barack Obama had substantial help from Bill Ayers in the creation of his 1995 book, Dreams From My Father. More
Excerpt from above web page:
  • Evidence continues to mount that Barack Obama had substantial help from Bill Ayers in the creation of his 1995 book, Dreams From My Father, a book that Time Magazine has called "the best-written memoir ever produced by an American politician." The evidence falls into five general categories, here summarized.

    * The discovery of new matching nautical metaphors from both Ayers and Obama that almost assuredly came from the same source: Ayers, a former merchant seaman.

    * The discovery of a Bill Ayers' essay on memoir writing, whose postmodern themes and phrases are echoed throughout Dreams.

    * A newly discovered book chapter from 1990 that shows clearly and painfully the limits of Obama's prose style the year he received a contract to write Dreams.

    * The revelation by radical Islamicist Rashid Khalidi that Ayers made his "dining room table" available for neighborhood writers who needed help.

    * A refined timeline that shows Ayers had the means, the motive and the time to help Obama when he needed it most.

Here’s a believer secular liberals can accept: a relativist in the most expansive form.

I voted today. I had to wait for 1 hour, though.
I voted Obama. I like him a lot and I like what I hear. McCain, he is a good man, but he just lost my vote due to Sarah Palin. I don't like her, she rubs me the wrong way (her scandals, her politics... she annoys me a bit but that's just my personal opinion, Obama has had its share of scandals as well) and I don't agree with most of her views especially abortion and the environment. So McCain, sorry dude, you lost me as a voter.

I have been spreading the word too. I am responsible for converting 2 people to Obama :D

Let the best man for the job win.
I must say that I won't be moving to any other country if McCain wins. I like the guy but not as much as Obama. I just hope McCain doesn't die if he wins.

Looks like we're going to have a Marxist who pals around with terrorists in the White House for the next four years, hopefully only four - unless the American people are dumb enough to vote for B. Hussein O. for a second term.

BHO is going to make our economy worse, the jobs are going to dry up.

(Of course, the media will make it sound as though the economy is doing peachy once BHO actually gets in the White House, since they suck up to Democrats, and they have to make BHO look good.)

On the bright side of things, I won't have to listen to the Bush haters rip on Bush anymore - man does that ever get tired and old.

The True Name of Barack Obama's Change: Intolerance
  • I have to disagree with those who say that Sen. Obama has not achieved anything significant in his political career.

He has some record setting achievements to present to America.

He [Obama] has managed to raise more money for his campaign than any other presidential candidate.

$600,000,000 is no small amount, even if some of the money comes from very rich people like George Soros, very rich companies like Goldman Sachs, and a stream of unidentifiable foreign contributors.

Sen. Obama has managed to gather more foreign votes than American ones. As a Kenyan newspaper said recently:

The world has elected Barack Obama president of the United States. It is now waiting to see if the Americans will reject him on November 4.

But Obama's most important achievement to date has not been getting enough press: In less than a year Sen. Obama has managed to divide our country to the degree it has not seen for over a hundred years.

Remember the time when it was okay to disagree with (or even dislike) a presidential candidate? If you're reading this, you're old enough to remember that time -- since it was just a year ago. It's not okay anymore.

Sure, many people, myself included, openly express their negative opinions of Sen. Obama. But what about the level of tolerance his supporters have for these opinions? It's pretty low these days. If, somehow, you have been avoiding any political discussions, you're in for a surprise.

Perhaps even for a shock. These days if you disagree with Sen. Obama you're almost immediately called a racist. These days if you question Sen. Obama, like Joe the Plumber questioned him, you come under the scrutiny of hundreds of professionals in the press and in the government.

These days expressing a concern about Sen. Obama almost guarantees you get a crash course on English obscenities. I know -- I've tried. Within two hours after expressing concerns about Sen. Obama's character on my blog, I was called a racist pig, a right-wing nut, and Hitler. And these were the mildest of labels.

But who am I to complain. The whole country is going crazy.

Internet forums are seething with intolerance. I'm not exaggerating -- just visit a forum on Sen. Obama's site. "White people should not be allowed to vote!" says a Philadelphia Inquirer columnist -- and the paper stays in business, although had they suggested taking the voting right away from black Americans, they'd be rightfully facing a nation-wide outcry.

An Obama supporter hangs an effigy of a VP candidate by a noose in front of his house -- and gets only smirks from bystanders. This is a Halloween decoration, he says in the interview with the press, standing in front of an effigy of the Republican presidential candidate being burned alive.

Since when did it become okay to hang a figure of a real woman -- a mother of five -- on the streets? Since when did it become okay to parade around with blood-covered guillotine decorated with the head of the President -- a get not a peep from the media?

I can tell you since when. Since Sen. Obama has started deliberately dividing the country.

True, a good share of his speeches featured obligatory "united we stand" messages.

But many, many other speeches have been sending a very different signal.

For months Sen. Obama has been going on stage and drawing lines in every major cultural divide, be it race, income, party or gender, trying to turn Americans against each other. Let's take a look at Sen. Obama's own statements.

When it comes to race, Sen. Obama has played the race card time and again: "They're going to try to make you afraid of me. He's young and inexperienced and he's got a funny name. And did I mention he's black?" he predicted back in June. They will tell you "he doesn't look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills," he prophesied a month later. After each of these divinations an explanation was issued from Sen. Obama's campaign explaining what he really meant.

But to interpret these oracles you need not trust either his handlers in the campaign or his disciples in the media. Go to the scripture. Open Obama's autobiography, Dreams from My Father. It's full of quotes like this: "I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race."

Do you ever remember being called racist for not voting for someone? Last year, four years ago, ever? Now you have all kinds of people doing so, ranging from the media to a Democratic congressman, to your coworker.

Why? Is it because the level of racial intolerance in America was suddenly and inexplicably on the rise last year? Or is it because someone very visible has been hinting over and over again that the main barrier standing between him and the Oval Office is racism?

When it comes to comparing incomes, Sen. Obama has been deliberately promoting class warfare. His endless talk about social justice and government-arranged wealth distribution is nothing but a new incarnation of a two hundred year old theory that has created the worst regimes in history.

Just days ago Sen. Obama labeled Americans who don't support his idea of raising taxes "selfish."

Think about his famous ad that focused on Sen. McCain's homes. How many people realized that the ad was simply attacking McCain for being rich? The ad portrayed people who have earned a high level of income as untrustworthy ... even evil. So much for the American dream.

Do you remember seeing rich vs. poor headlines a year ago? Now they adorn the front pages of newspapers every day. Is it because the poverty level has gone up dramatically over the last 12 months? Or is it because the most visible US politician has spared no effort to highlight that some people make more money than others ... and that this is just not fair?

No matter where you look, Sen. Obama shows the same pattern: divide, divide, divide. Why? Because divide and conquer is a proven way to gain power. Month after month Obama paints a shining dream before the eyes of millions of people.

    He promises them hope.

    He promises them change.

He gets some of them into a nearly ecstatic state where they literally think that they won't have to fill their tank with gas anymore once they elect a President Obama.

And then Obama hints that there are others who want to take that dream away from them. Others who stand against fairness and justice and equality. And he knows precisely what he is creating: his converts start seeing anyone who disagrees with Obama as someone who stands between them and their dream. And then we get chuckling crowds in front of an effigy of Sarah Palin hung by a noose.

People within a group -- large or small -- maintain a certain level of tolerance and respect for others in that group. This level of tolerance and respect can be moved up or down through physical or verbal manipulation or intimidation.

Moving the level down is much easier than taking it up.

Depending on the topic, you can argue for an hour with someone who has a totally different opinion and still walk away friends.

But when, in response to a question, your opponent calls you an idiot, a bigot, and a racist, you're no longer in the mood for a polite discussion. The level of toleration and respect is likely to go downhill from there.

Nations are very large communities and they work in the same way. Once the level of tolerance and respect has gone down, getting it back up is very hard.

Deliberately dividing people to achieve political objectives is a very old trick in the book of power. It has often worked. When it does work, it has always cost the people of the nation who have been blinded by inspiring divisive orators. That cost has usually been dear. That cost has sometimes been freedom.

America is on a dangerous path. It's easy to forget how lucky we are. We're not a perfect community -- there are no perfect communities. We're not one happy family -- we're millions of families, some of them quite unhappy.

There are tensions; there are problems; there's some hate to overcome; there are some really ugly things to take care of; and there are thousands of issues to solve.

But if you look around at what's been happening in the America, if you look back at our own -- not so distant -- past, you realize that what we've been having for the last two decades is probably as good as it gets in the real world.

As a nation we've been quite all right for a while.

It tells you a lot about a person when he steps into the spotlight and time and again tries to pit us all against each other, camouflaging his actions beneath sweet images of hope and change.

Sen. Obama has broken quite a few promises this year. But, you can be sure, he'll be a man of his word when it comes to his fundamental promise ... change. Not only he will bring it -- he has already given us a good preview of it.

It's not in the speeches and rallies. It's in the newspapers and the spiteful remarks on the internet forums, in the rhetoric of politicians and the Halloween decorations on the streets, on the t-shirts shamelessly promoting hate, and in the crowds booing people holding a McCain sign.

It's everywhere. This change has many names but the key one is intolerance. And everyone should think twice before voting for it. There's some deep irony in the fact that the campaign that was supposed to be the last step in helping America to leave a shameful past behind has created a shameful present. It's up to us to ensure that it doesn't turn into an even more shameful future.

This is the worst day of my life.

Now, now, all eight of the Clinton years turned out to be fun because we got to sit back and bash a Democrat in office!

With Dems in control of the White House and the Congress, any and every little thing that goes wrong over the next 4-6 years can be laid squarely at their door step.

No more Bush Bashing or Blaming Bush.

Now, I've read that Obama is not really black - his daddy is Arabic, don't know if that's accurate. But he's passed himself off as a black guy, and many believe that.

And as such, now the professional race baiters -such as Jesse Jackson- are out of business. Finally!

It's kind of hard to keep blaming white guys and insisting that whitey is keeping you down when someone with dark skin is running the most powerful nation on the planet.

The sad thing is that Obama will likely nominate pro-baby-murdering (pro-abortion), pro- homosexuality weenies and their ilk on the Supreme Court.

Question: how do you think the Liberal Lovin' MSM will begin playing Iraq now? As a victory?

Or will they hail Obama as 'the Messiah who ended the Iraq mess that Bush made'?

(Not that I think Iraq is a mess, I'm saying that's how the liberal media will paint it.)

I do hope that the whole 'race card' thing is done. It's so annoying.

I also noticed that some McCain staffers are going all-out to destroy Palin's reputation.

This does remind me of the beginning of the Clinton years. My sisters and I had so much fun mocking Clinton. I was ten years old when he was elected, so that explains that, lol.

I also noticed that some McCain staffers are going all-out to destroy Palin's reputation.

I watched the O'Reilly Factor tonight, and he had a segment about McCain camp in-fighting about Palin.

Palin felt that the McCain staff let her down, and she'd have hissy fits, and reduced some of the workers to tears (supposedly). I thought the whole thing was strange... I would assume that Palin & McCain & staff would be one, big happy family.

"I pay 75 percent of their coverage," explained the [business] owner.

"The family policy is about $11,000. For single guys, it's about $5,000." At an average annual cost of $7,000 per policy, his additional cost for 52 employees to cover the 25 percent of the premiums that he currently doesn't pay is $91,000. "That's the price of three installers," he said. "Just to stay even with where I am, I'd have to fire three more people or raise some prices and fire two."

The result is more unemployment or more inflation, or both.

Thanks for the links - I'll read through some of those tomorrow.

I watched a new episode of South Park tonight, and they were mocking both Obama supporters and McCain supporters. The McCain supporters were suicidal and the Obama supporters were uncivilized party animals. It was pretty funny and made me realize how silly I had acted. I mean, I'm still upset and not terribly optimistic about the next four years, but even back in 2007 I figured that it would be impossible for a Republican to win, given the severe BDS infecting a great deal of the population.
