Very interesting. A lot of secular, non-religious conservatives (I call them RINOs) have been complaining about how the religious are ruining the party. I fully disagree with that, of course. |

I bet some of them (fiscal conservatives) would object to being classifed as RINOs, but I agree with you. I've never considered fiscal-cons to be 'true' conservatives. They're welcome in the GOP, I suppose it's okay with me if they're in the party, but I don't care for them. And yeah, as of late, there has been tons and tons of complaining and whining from moderates and Neo-Cons (hawks on the WOT but liberal on all other issues) insisting that the 'religious right' and the social cons are a hindrance and drain on the GOP, but I think they're 100% wrong. Even Democrats and liberals have been joining the chorus, singing that the GOP should move more to the left! Why? So the GOP can be a carbon copy of the Democratic Party? I don't think so. |
