If there is such a special, I believe someone from Madonna's side will announce that this show had a huge viewing audience. I won't believe it for a nano-second, after her tours on TV failed.

And that's the very reason she'd lie - her previous TV shows failed, so what better way to patch that up by saying this MTV special was a ratings success?

madonnalicious.com:
  • Madonna set for a MTV Special?
Posted: 07 August 2007 - Thanks to Clare

Perez Hilton are reporting this news about a possible MTV Madonna Special:

Madonna has been making the magic happen for 25 years now, and MTV is set to mark the milestone with a very special celebration.

The network is said to be working on a two hour special for the 07-08 season in honor of the Queen of Pop.

Though details are still being worked out, it’s believed that her Madgesty will perform, as will some other artists covering her tunes.
Another prediction: she'll only sing her most recent stuff on the special, which is mostly crap. She probably won't do any songs from her debut album, Like A Virgin, etc.

COURTNEY LOVE - LOVE TRADING PLACES WITH MADONNA

COURTNEY LOVE has warned her arch-rival MADONNA to steer clear of London - after confirming she plans to move permanently to England.
The pair has been bitter rivals since the Hole rocker threw a compact mirror at Madonna at the 1995 MTV Video Music Awards.
Love has now announced she is keen to move from Los Angeles to the English countryside.
And she has warned Madonna, who recently moved back to New York after splitting from British director Guy Ritchie, never to return to the capital.
She says, "Madonna had better stay the hell away from London when I move here to live! There's no room for us both. Buckinghamshire is where I want to go. I'm fed up with L.A. It's full of crazy people. People criticise Britain but it is still a cleaner, safer place to live than Hollywood."

Madoona the slut, she's on top of the list of screwers! We should make our own list here, in order madoona screwed starting from the time she was finger f***ed by her female mate, her escapades in the trailer, to the latinos in bronx, all her boyfriends, her daddy chair mates, her sleep around executives to get contracts, her studs, her X's to LUZ.

You Shag Madonna, You Shagged Vanilla Ice-LINK

You Shag Madonna, You Shagged Vanilla Ice

MTV is using rock stars and their super-sluttiness to teach all Brazilians about safe sex. Thanks, Madonna and Mick Jagger, you sluts! And thanks to everyone you screwed, as well.

These are new ads from MTV Brazil, via Copyranter. Use condoms or you are basically screwing Tupac, Deniro, and Paris Hilton all at once.

And thats green for boogers!

I cannot remember where I recently read an older interview, after Lourdiss was born, and Madonna said that when she is fifty she wants to be home with three kids and not worry about MTV. So why is she now still doing videos and concerts? Another hypocrite statement.

Madonna on 'Leno': The real story behind 'Like a Virgin' at the MTV Video Music Awards
  • By Andrea Reiher
    January 31, 2012 12:21 AM ET

Worldwide superstar Madonna stops by "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" Monday night (Jan. 30), where she reveals the true story behind her infamous 1984 Video Music Awards performance of "Like a Virgin."

"Here's what happened," says Madonna. "I was standing at the top of a wedding cake, as one does, and I walked down these steps, which were the tiers of a wedding cake. And I lost my shoe. I lost my white stiletto. And I thought, 'Oh god, how am I gonna get that? It's over there and I'm on TV.'"

"So I thought well, I'll just pretend I meant to do this and I dove on to the floor and I rolled around and I reached for the shoe," she continues. "And as I reached for the show, the dress went up. And the underpants were showing.... I didn't mean to."

"And it became the greatest night in television history," cracks Leno.

....pfffttt...now she's the one doing the historical revisionist thing...probably made this up in an attempt to appear slightly less embarrassing to her children...those poor children....

Even if what she said there was true about that particular incident, there sure were many, many other times in her life where she intentionally acted slutty to get attention.

This admission does not work well for her, because it detracts from the old propaganda about her. For over ten years, all we heard all the time was stuff like how brave it was for her to be slutty, all females should be like that AND we heard how she so brilliantly manipulated the media, she is a master marketer...

But now we find out that one of her biggest, earliest scandals was not thought of in advance by her, it was an accident?

That detracts from her "she's a genuis/ she's daring to be a whore" stuff the feminist and fans have liked to repeat over the years.

The Real Story Behind Madonna’s Iconic ‘Like a Virgin’ Performance at the 1984 VMAs

Said one Madonna fan at the bottom:
  • JoanCrawford1 • 5 hours ago
I love that everyone counted out Madonna back in 1985 and they were all proved HORRIBLY wrong. I love that now we have lil troll monsters who still count her out -- guess what? Madonna is here to stay and I am sure she is not done yet. QUEEN OF POP!
As I have said before, back in the mid 80s, I did not know if Madonna would last or not, though from around 1984 - 1985/86, you would see the occasional journalist opine in their columns and magazine articles they thought she was a flash in the pan.

Key Point -that Madonna fans, who like to chirp about how she is still around though folks back in the 1980s didn't think she would last - need to grasp:

Madonna may still be around, but she really should have retired from making new records sometime after the early 1990s, or possibly after "Ray of Light."

I am not saying this because I think people automatically become lame, old, or boring at 35 or 45, or 55, whatever years of age, but that she in particular became boring and lame.

She keeps dressing up like Marilyn Monroe or Marlene Dietrich for videos or tours, or grabbing her crotch on tours, relying on drummed up controversy, to stay in the spotlight.

The page says in part,
  • MTV did, however, secure a largely unknown singer whom MTV's Chip Rachlin recalls "was a bit difficult." Madonna wanted to sing a new song, "Like a Virgin," to a full-grown, white Bengal tiger.

    The big cat was nixed.

Instead, she decided to emerge from a 17-foot tall wedding cake and sing the song in a white wedding dress, a bustier and a BOY TOY belt buckle -- a classic Madonna mixed message.

But as she descended, one of her white stilettos slipped off. "So I thought, 'Well, I'll just pretend I meant to do this,' and I dove on the floor and I rolled around," she later said. "And, as I reached for the shoe, the dress went up. And the underpants were showing."
Said someone else on the page in the comments,
  • Stacey • 7 hours ago

Did anyone who participated in this article actually watch the clip?

She clearly kicks off her shoes at the top of the wedding cake, then somehow puts them back on at the bottom of the cake, dances around a bit, then hits the floor... shoes still firmly on her feet.

Perhaps she was too buzzed to remember clearly.
There is an embedded video on their page of the performance, but I did not watch it. So I don't know if Stacey is right or not, but she sounds like she watched it.

Someone else:
  • Lisa Solak • 5 hours ago

There was a total contradiction in the article. "My shoe fell off, so I dove to the floor" and "She had a few drinks to get up the nerve to roll around on the floor" Either it's crappy writing, or crappy liars...
And I have no idea why, but there are Madonna fans in the comment section fighting with Gaga fans, and Madonna fans pretending to be Gaga fans. Gaga was not even mentioned in the article.

Gaga Derrangement Syndrome won't go away. Too sad yet too funny.

And there's so much more tragic denial as well, because Da Kween would never drink, smoke, do drugs or make any other boo boos - never have never will. Control, control, control.

So she said one of her shoes fell, but the shoes were still on her feet when she pounced the floor. Yeah cocaine might've been on her menu the night of the show if she can't remember that little detail...

I thought Madonna's BIM video was obnoxious, desperate, garish and cheesy but several news sites are saying they think it should have been nominated.

Another site says that Madonna fans have started a petition on Change.org to complain about Man-donna's video not being nominated.

VMAs 2015 Snubs: Top 4 Video Nominees Snubbed By MTV, From Nicki Minaj To Kanye West
  • MTV revealed the full list of 2015 Video Music Award nominees on Tuesday, July 21, and while we weren't too surprised to see some of the usual top contenders like Beyonce and Taylor Swift land several nominations including Video of the Year, there were a few music videos we were totally shocked to see didn't make the cut.

Check our list of the top four videos we thought were totally snubbed by the 2015 MTV VMAs:

[Madonna's BIM video is on their list]
8 music videos that the MTV VMA nominations totally snubbed

MTV VMAs: 15 snubbed music videos that should have been nominated
  • While Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar dominated MTV's Video Music Award nominations Tuesday, several stunning videos and perennial VMA favorites were ignored.

Even MTV royalty wasn't immune: Madonna's apocalyptic "Ghosttown" video and Britney Spears' intergalactic "Pretty Girls" romp, co-starring Iggy Izalea, both failed to earn nods.

Change.org: seriously? Seriously??? With all the tragedy going on around the world, the stans are making unnecessary drama about an obnoxious video??

EW was once a smart magazine rich with culture. The smartphone generation has turned it shallow as can be. Said magazine has been snubbing a favorite group of mine because they won't bow to the gay community or the American/British celeb/marketing cultures. Also, the youngest band member is turning - gasp! - 35 years old next month.

Gee, maybe I should whine & cry to change.org or the ACLU? Or Amnesty International?

Get outta town.

Pitiful how MTV still matters to so many people.
