People still sniff glue?
Some of us couldn't help it.

When I was a kid, my brother used to put model airplanes and ships together - using that weird, strong smelling air plane model kit glue -at the kitchen table in the late afternoons or evenings, where I sat doing homework or coloring in coloring books.

My getting a buzz or woozy off the airplane glue was not deliberate.

On TV about 15 years ago were stories in the news of people who were into "huffing" (intentionally sniffing spray paint fumes)

I think Madonna experimented with every drug imaginable and only chose the drugs that "fed her 'creativity'" or whatever... likely prescription drugs, weed and booze (which is a substance drug).

Here we go again.

She likes to suggest or say in interviews she does drugs or did, but back in the 80s, she would say she never abused drugs. She is flip flopping again.

I find this interview annoying. It's like she wants to be seen as someone who does drugs - I guess because she assumes that the public assumes that pop singers are druggies, and being a druggie is cool (at least to anyone under 25 years of age) - but at the same time, she either doesn't actually do drugs because she is some kind of health nut or maybe she thinks if it goes public she does drugs, people won't buy her songs anymore.

There is something suspicious, IMO, that she keeps being vague about if she does drugs, or has ever done them.

One minute she wants the public to think she is "clean" then the next she suggests in song lyrics or magazines she's tried them, then she's on this third thing about, "well you know, I tried them but didn't care for them"

'I'm too big of a p****': Madonna reveals she does not have the 'stamina' to do drugs anymore due the lingering affects
  • She rose to prominence in the music business in the 80s which is when Ronald Reagan took to office in the White House and drugs became a real issue in America.

Now more than three decades on, Madonna has revealed that she no longer experiments with substances because she can't take the after affects.

Speaking to MOJO magazine, the 56-year-old admitted that she just doesn't have the 'stamina' and was too afraid to dabble with narcotics during her younger years.

Madonna told how when she did take some drugs she wouldn't be able to get out of bed for three days afterwards.

She said: 'My problem is I don't have the stamina to take drugs. I feel terrible afterwards. I'm destroyed for days and days.

'I can't do anything and I don't want that inconvenience in my life. So I don't feel it's worth the price you have to pay. That's me.'

Deeming herself a 'p****', Madonna asserted that she was not a fan of binges due to her career.

Reminiscing, the mother-of-four insisted: 'Even when I was younger and in my 20s, trying this and that. I mean, I never really did that many drugs. I'm too big of a p****.

'Also, I'm a dancer and I don't want to destroy my body. I want to feel physically good.'

She continued: 'So it never came naturally to me to get out of my brains or get so high that I couldn't get out of bed for three days. And that's what happened to me if I did anything.'

Despite reflecting on the downsides of doing drugs, the Rebel Heart hitmaker also admitted that she did experience occasions when her life seemed 'better' when she was under the influence.

Madonna added: 'I wouldn't say I had musical epiphanies I would say probably I just had life epiphanies where everything seems better than it is.'

So she either was too strong for the drugs or she was overwhelmed by the drugs. Which is it? Someone is being very dishonest here...

I posted a similar story to the "Lourdes and Rocco" thread the other day

Madonna says Lourdes and other children can use drugs 'in moderation'
  • by Mary Ward

Her daughter Lourdes may have only turned 18 in October, but Madonna is already letting her make adult decisions.

Speaking at a taping of the Jonathan Ross Show following her unfortunate fall at the BRIT Awards, the Mirror reports the 56-year-old singer said she was not going to ban her children from dangerous - and illegal - habits such as drug use.

"I just ask my daughter to make wise decisions and to do things in moderation and to try not to mix her alcohol," she said.

"I am not going to say 'no, don't do it' because that is just absurd. And it is not fair. Yeah, I did it."

However, the Living for Love singer explained that she personally was not a fan of drug use.

"I am not a big fan of drugs. They just don't suit me," she said.

"The handful of times I have tried drugs, many many many many years ago, I just didn't enjoy it. I wanted it out of me. I started guzzling bottles of water thinking that was going to end it."

Madonna has four children: Lourdes, Rocco, 14, David, 9, and Mercy, also 9. David and Mercy were both adopted from Malawian orphanages in 2008 and 2009, respectively.

The Living for Love singer described herself as a "strict parent" in an interview with Good Morning America in 2012, explaining how she made Lourdes wait until she was 16 to get an iPhone and had refused then 12-year-old Rocco a mobile phone until he was older.

In addition to laying down the house rules, Madonna has developed a close professional relationship with Lourdes, whose father is Madonna's ex-personal trainer Carlos Leon. Since 2010, the pair have jointly run the Material Girl clothing line for teenage girls, and Lourdes was employed in the wardrobe department of her mother's MDNA Tour in 2012.

David Letterman staffer: Madonna was so high the night she dropped 14 F-bombs
  • The very funny behind-the-scenes story: "She started giggling again. 'We smoked a little endo before we came here…' VIDEO

Daniel Kellison is a big-time producer now, running Jackhole with Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla. But in the 1990s, he landed his first job on the David Letterman show, doing a little of everything — researching, producing, booking guests.

In an amazing new Grantland piece, he spills the behind the scenes secrets from some of the biggest names he worked with. (Funniest detail: there was a $500 bounty for booking a Beatle on the show. The executive producer booked Ringo Starr, went to collect from Dave, who replied, “Ringo doesn’t count.”)

But the best story by far is of that night in 1994 when Madonna went crazy on the show, dropping 14 F-bombs — then believed to be some sort of a record for network TV, or at least late night — taking off her underpants and asking Letterman to smell them, and so much more.

In a subsequent appearance in 2009, Madonna admitted to Letterman that she’d smoked a joint before coming on. But Kallison tells an even wilder story. He says it was endo — slang for the highly intoxicating bud tips of the Cannabis indica strain of marijuana — that she was smoking. That explains it!

As Kellison tells the story, there was a plan for the appearance. Letterman had been making fun of Madonna every night. She would play back several of the jokes to Dave, and after he’s confronted with the videotape, ask him to explain what he meant. Everyone thought it would be great.

The day of the show, she arrived to much fanfare and press anticipation, but with no entourage. Her only accompaniment was her makeup person, Kevyn Aucoin. I walked up to her dressing room, knocked on the door, put out my hand, and said, “Hi, I’m Daniel.” She didn’t get up or offer her hand. Instead she said, “Suckmadick.” I took a beat. “Sorry?” She looked at Kevyn, smiled, and said it again, slower, like a petulant 8-year-old child challenging a parent: “Suck–ma–d*ck.” She and Kevyn began laughing hysterically. Immediately, I thought: We’re screwed. I smiled wanly and powered on: “Ha … OK, so this will pretty much go as we discussed. We’ve loaded up three pieces of video, each one worse than the other, and after each one …” She stopped me. “That’s too much to remember.”

Hmmm. I paused, now more annoyed than anything. “Uh, not really. It’s actually pretty simple — you show a tape. Get his reaction. Show another. Get his reaction. There are three …” “Yeah, I’m not going to remember all that.” Me, trying not to let my voice break and betray my now very urgent concerns: “Why not?” She started giggling again. “We smoked a little endo before we came here …”

In the rest of the story — one of the great Letterman recollections published this week — Kallison tells the story of how he finally got Madonna off the stage, so Counting Crows could make their network debut that night.

...yeah she's a self-admitted weedhead and she probably got into all kinds of chemical 'mood enhancers' like ecstasy, speed, coke, etc. because those drugs would counter-act the 'munchies' effect of the pot...

...before, during and after the Blonde Ambition/S@x/Erotica era she struck me as high on something in many interviews...it wasn't until probly around 1995, with her career in tatters and her lobbying for 'Evita' went into overdrive that she sobered up...

In the 1980s and maybe early 90s she DENIED being a drug head.

She said repeatedly in interviews way back when that she was not a druggie.

After that, she or her spokeswoman said she does not drink alcohol, but she gets photographed drinking wine.

... She has told so many lies about her substance consumption it's ridonkulous...just example after example of her hypocrisy...like how she always acted like she was above having plastic surgery...until it became too obvious to deny anymore...

...at least some of her lies about drug and alcohol use may have been a purely cynical marketing ploy to appease the young girl fans and their parents...'she dresses and struts like trash but she doesn't drink or do drugs, so she can't be all that bad an influence on my daughter...'

The same fans who still insist it was a piece of paper instead of a mouse/rat ... will continue to bully us into believing it's all just fillers & surface skin treatments.

Because, after all, she's always known how to take care of herself. If she has smoked weed, why who didn't back in the day? The nerve of us obsessed haters who ignore Gaga's excesses! Don't you think Miss Taylor is on drugs, too, the "little" weirdo?

(rant done)

Wouldn't doubt she really was cranked up on the snow after she & Sean split. If it's true that she was abusive to people like Ingrid Casares, that had to be a big factor.

But, gee, what successful Baby Boomer DIDN'T do drugs & then move on? Madonna is The Iron Queen! ** eye roll **
