Big news has dropped out of the nation's capital as the Washington Capitals' search for a new GM has finally ended. The team dipped into the AFHL to grab an experienced GM to fill the vacacted position. Kris Skworchinski has been hired on as the team's new GM, taking over a team that for all the talent on the roster has been rather mediocre to this point.

"I bring alot of experience to the position, with contending teams, struggling teams and rebuilding teams. My #1 priority is to sit down with the coaching staff and all the players and find out what everyone is all about to see what direction the team is headed in."

Skworchinski went on to say that he plans to conduct his 1 on 1 player meetings through the day in order to be able to develop a plan for the team and to see who can be made available. He also plans to do some scouting around the league to see what resources are available to improve this team now and for the future.
