Officer Tarek Hassani from the Filer Police Department was captured by his vehicle's dashcam shooting a dog. The officer was responding to a call before he encountered two dogs in an apparent aggressive state. The officer then proceeds to shoot one of the dogs as the other one runs away. The black Labrador that was shot acted as a service dog for Rick Clubb, who suffers from parkinson's disease. After this footage surfaced online, people have been debating whether or not this officer was justified in his actions.

I'm finding it harder and harder to have any respect whatsoever for police officers...it's getting more difficult to not lump them all together as power-hungry, abusive, bullying pieces of fucking shit of the the lowest order---poster-children for how not to behave as a human being---who I generally wish a quick, brutal exit from this planet.

But...that was the plan all along, I suspect. So I'm trying not to hate them all...because I know they're not all like that. Some still have brains, and balls, and honour. They're not all cowardly shit who are longing to take out all their angry immaturity and frustration on innocent people and innocent animals.

For those assholes out there who are abusing their power and authority (who protect and serve The State, not the people), I just have to keep in mind that once the establishment is done with these emasculated goons and wads-of-greasy-aggression-and-muscle-wrapped-up-in-pretty-little-uniforms, their turn will come.

All I can really say is...

Payback is going to be a bitch.

Over the last three years there has been bookoo police officers shot dogs in the city I live in. The thing that bothers me, they percieved the dog to be a threat to them so they shot them. If I am walking around the block and I percieve one to be a threat to me and whip out my gun and kill one, I am going to jail and my gun will get took away and I will be charged with firing a gun in the city limits and public endangerment when I have more experience shooting weapons than a large percentage of the police force does.

What happened to pepper spray?
You let some of the Rottweilers I have seen comming running up to you and see what you think about pepperspray. A bullet is quick and effective. No not every dog needs to be shot but I sure have seen some that do.

I have a hard time believing I would shoot a dog before I tried to kick it away. I've been confronted by dozens of dogs in my lifetime and never once felt the need to kill one.

Then you have not seen the kind of dogs I have I can assure you. All due respect but that really just shows your ignorance as to how deadly some dogs can actually be. I am glad you have not run across these kinds of dogs and hope you never do.

Why were the dogs running loose? Where was the owner? Why was he not in control of his dogs?

In the situation in the video, it could have been handled differantly. There were other options. He could have called in to the dispatcher and had them phone the home and have the owner constrain the dogs. He could have called in for a dog catcher to come. There were other options. It was plain to see the call for a policeman was not a urgent call such as a shooting but just a domestic dispute that was not urgent, so he had the time for other options. These dogs while somewhat agressive were not as threatening as some dogs I have seen that had much more severe intentions of harm. Pepperspray may have worked in this situation but each human being has differant levels of feeling threatened and evidently the policeman reached his level. Someone should invent a taser like device that can disable a dog but not kill the dog and sell it to the police departments. Still the public would cry cry cry about animal abuse. They stop crying though when one of their loved ones is mauled by a dog and require mega stitches or loose their life.

And more information is coming to light.

Muslim cop

Hostility to dogs is deeply ingrained in Muslim culture. Muhammad said that a dog passing in front of a man who was praying would invalidate his prayer (so would a woman passing in front of him, which is why women pray behind men at mosques). Other hadiths depict him ordering all dogs killed except hunting dogs. So this Muslim police officer’s actions were consistent with Islamic culture, but reprehensible in American culture. This cop gives the lie to the multicultural idea that American can allow mass immigration of Muslims without any consequences. - See more at: http://pamelageller.com/2014/02/video-idaho-muslim-police-officer-kicks-shoots-kills-disabled-mans-service-dog.html/#sthash.MMytIA8l.dpuf
