Posing as "Citizens Against Senseless Violence," we visit the homes of journalists working for Westchester Journal News, MSNBC, and the Star-Ledger. We also visited the home of Eric Holder. None will take our signs that say "THIS HOME IS PROUDLY GUN FREE."

Since these reporters and editors did not consider it a violation of the privacy and safety of others to reveal which homes have guns and which homes don't, we went to see which of them would be willing to put a sign up publicly declaring their homes to be gun-free zones. While we didn't find any members of the media with the strength of their convictions, we did find quite a few guns, and some good explanations for why they might be necessary..... Guns for Me, but not for Thee.

Fucking morons.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... there are two kinds of people in the world: those who need to take care of themselves, protect themselves, and be independent (adults) and those who want to be taken care of, be protected, and be dependent on something/someone (children).

So, really, they're not morons; they're children---and proud of it---to the best parent they know: the State. Uncle Sam. Big Brother. Big Sister. The Motherland.

It's no accident that cities and nations have always perpetuated the image of a loving parent (look at the Catholic Church---the "Mother Church" they call it). But it's overwhelmingly been portrayed as a motherly figure---the most ancient symbol for a city (a circle with a cross in it; like a scope sight) was strikingly similar to the symbol for female (a circle with a cross hanging below it---an upside down cross, in fact).

Anyway, I don't think all this is strictly about guns---guns are merely the most effective means of defending yourself when your attacker(s) also have a gun. It's about the underlying principle that we are no longer allowed to defend ourselves. With guns, with crossbows, with knives or swords, with pointed fucking sticks.

It's anti-life, anti-nature, too----every creature on earth has the ability to defend itself in some way. But citizens cannot. They have to go get an adult to fight their battles for them.

It's fucked up, man.
