Why would Lynch be going anywhere? He has a little tacker, a missus and they opened a clothing store in town recently.
This and that you would think GWS would already have made a bargaining deal. West Coast don't need to get rid of Lynch.

The ideal situation would be something like this.

Clark to West Coast, Tippet to Brisbane and Ebert to Adelaide. Three way deal.

After all that we can make a bid for O'Meara through Lynch and a hand full of other mature players such as Swift, Stevenson, Wilson.

It is amusing how many rumours have been on this thread that are self-perpetuating but never reach any level of actualisation.

Only problem there is Ebert is not going to Adelaide and Tippte is not going to Brisbane.

I wouldn't mind making a plea or Pearce. Offer up pick 43 + Ebert

Scenario 1: Lynch + Pick 43 to Carlton and in return we get Pick 22

Scenario 2: Ebert + Pick 22 to Port Adelaide. Port Adelaide ontrade Picks 23 and 28 to Adelaide who ontrade their pick 33 to West Coast. Adelaide then give Tippet up to Brisbane and Brisbane send Clark to West Coast

But that's all theory (obviously). Tippet wants to go to Gold Coast....

All the talks of offsetting Lynch as part of the deal to get Clark here and Ebert to Port is silly. If Lynch leaves (and I stress the if) it will be because someone has bought him out.

I doubt Lynch is going anywhere. And Carlton would be more interested in Callum Wilson one would feel. Better player out of the goal square, they have Jarrad Waite who plays that lead up role. Not to mention Chris Dawes is on their hit-list

Clark, who seriously contemplated a move to Fremantle last year but was under contract, is seeking remuneration of about $550,000 a season in his next deal. In the absence for most of this season of Jonathan Brown, Clark was Brisbane's leading goalkicker, with 27 from 17 games.

550k? That is crazy...Absolute nonsense.

Agree that is absolute nonsense. Even when we had no forward line, Ben McKinley was kicking more than that.

Would be silly of GWS to go after Lynch as our uncontracted player. If they pull the trigger on Lynch then they can't try steal Gaff or one of our other young players when they fall out of contract next year.

Lynch as a trade for the U17's mini draft is totally different and they wouldn't miss out on taking a crack at another one of our players, next season.

I agree.

Trade talk aside how about drafting? Anyone heard of Thomas Sundberg? There is a good 5 minute clip of him playing on youtube.

The two standout mature agers for me are Sundberg and Kyle Horsley. Both are strong bodied midfielders and both are good left foot kicks, tacklers, stoppage players and have pace.

Both will probably get picked up, I would say around Pick 30. Wouldn't mind adding Horsley to our list, at all.

So true. I'm not sold on that we are chasing Clark. I really think we are just trying to up his value and make Fremantle pay overs. Wouldn't be surprised if we're doing an under the table deal with Brisbane involving Tom Swift and as part of the deal we increase the price of Clark.

Nope haven't heard of Sundberg. I'll do some research on him soon. We should also make a bid for Todd Bandfield, never going to happen though lol
