I'd prefer Hill to pick 49, so that's a positive at least. Welcome aboard
Agree, would have liked to get Hill for 63 and select Newman with 49 if he'd still be available though.

Looks like Hams to be upgraded then, ugghhhh.

if Hill can get his act together it will come out as a very good trade week. otherwise it'll come out as a whatever. ebert was gone, he's an average player and we got adequate compensation for him.

just happy koby stevens didn't find his way back to melbourne as was being suggested.

Wouldn't think so, doubt they would have even participated in trade week if Ebert didn't want out

Nah... got shafted by Ebert more than Port. Did a Judd on us.

Really hate players that gives no suggestion to the club that he wants to go until contract runs out. Then INSISTS that he go to only one club with the threat of PSD.

Nothing much WC could do.

Draft 2007 looking like a massive flop
3 - Masten
13 - Ebert
20 - Notte
22 - Selwood
PS - McGinnity
Rookie - Stevenson, Arrowsmith, Sullivan, Wilson, Wilkes, Davis

Considering 4 picks in the top 22, only Selwood will reach the pick potential at which he was taken.

Missed out on local WA boys - H. Taylor and Pears. But that was a bad year for drafting all round.

Goes to show that draft picks are very over-rated by clubs. All trying to pull a Geelong type draft.

With the number of draft position swapping around the range of 10-40 it would suggest that there is a very even field and clubs are looking for a slight upgrade to pick the player they want first.
