I entirely trust the list management at WCE. If anyone leaves I'm sure we will get decent value from them and if we do trade a player, I'm sure that we wont lose entirely.

They might seem like strange decisions right now, but I'm sure the reasonings behind them would fit.
Not sure about this, we have a recent habit of letting players go for whatever we are able to get.

I hope I am just freaking out or being pessimistic, but I'm not confident, at all. Also interesting that we hardly hear about players being linked with our club.
I just think that the club with our resources, ability and desire to get the best possible people in all positions greatly minimises potential screw ups. Add to that the fact we are historically successful and finished fourth.

As for our recent past. McKinley, Spanger and Staker trades have been around right.
In retrospect I agree. Spangher we lost for nothing, Staker has played patches of very good footy for Brisbane, along with Seaby and pick 39 worth far more than the spare change we may get for Stevens.
No. Seaby, Staker and Spanger have played some good footy since leaving. What it shows is that we either mismanaged them as players or got less than their worth. No if's, no but's.
Seaby was competing with Naitanui and was already miles behind Cox, the club even preferred Lynch rucking to Seaby at the time. Stake was talented but inconsistent in his time here and he relished being in a side with less expectations on him and Spangher has been decent without being sensational so the jury is still out there. That being said on Spanger, he went to Sydney the team renown for re-creating players.

We got what they were worth at the time.
Seaby has played 7 games since he was traded. Stake has a fantastic year last year but has been injured all of this year and will miss the entire 2012. Spangher was also delisted, played some decent footy to get 6 games but there was no room for him at our club.
Staker: Played the entire 2010 and was a very good defender for Brisbane last year after losses of key players. In patches also had to compete up forward to help Brown. I remember Staker being instrumental in Brisbane's shock win over Collingwood last year as well.

No disagreements on Seaby, he has struggled with injury and form. Though he has played 13 games, not 7. Seaby started 2010 with an absolute bang and played two genuinely fantastic games, before getting injured in round 6. Struggled to play again this year, had some excellent games again throughout the middle of the season and I would think Swans fans rate him highly. If they can get him fit and firing he could become a pivotal player for them.

Josh Kennedy's supremacy
The biggest problem with Staker was he always had brainfades, despite his obvious talent. After the 2005 GF, I started to think he may have a mental disability. He needed to leave, get a fresh start and try reignite his career.

Spangher would be clogging up the list and wouldn't get a game ahead of Glass, EMac or Brown.

As for Seaby he is nothing more than an average player and lucky to still be on an AFL list.

Do we really need Harvey?

I think he would be a good pick up, may not have been the best Senior Coach but he should make a decent Assistant. We need someone.

It is amusing how many rumours have been on this thread that are self-perpetuating but never reach any level of actualisation.

Pick 28 would be fair. We are talking about a fourth year player that is not in the best 22 at the business end of the season.

Hard to believe you are willing to accept pick 28 for Ebert, Maddy. On the other hand I think Stevens should be worth a first rounder. What Ebert is worth and what we will get are two entirely different things. He is worth something in among pick 15-20 - given his age, potential, history.
