After the entire Judd ordeal and the way Carlton dealt with us was incredibility bitter of them. Then the rumours of Kerr moving to Carlton the year later surfaced journalists asking Woosha what he would want for Kerr and he told them Kruezer, Gibbs, Murphy and Judd. The truth is if clubs are fair with us, we're going to be fair with them. We gave a very good compo picks to get Chick and Stenglein and took less than what was deserved on Gehrig and Judd. When a fringe player we know has little chance of getting what he wants and then requests a trade, as a club we do everything to accommodate the player.

Take, McKinley, Spanger, Staker and Seaby. We never try to screw other clubs over.

What I'm trying to say is that if Port screw us over this time, they're only hurting themselves. Because when free agency comes into play and all these pathetic little clubs who require AFL handouts to remain alive are going to go nowhere. We have the better facilities, we have the better supporters, we have the money. Now that I know what happened with Carlton and the Visy deal, I'm sure the management at SGIO is just licking their lips in turn with West Coast.

The clubs will work it out, they always do it with these sort of trades.

Any talk of PSD is ridiculous.
Except when they don't. I.e Nick Stevens/Luke Ball
I wonder what is the same between each of those two trades (starts with Colli and ends in wobbles).

Graham Cornes said Port Adelaide are working with GWS about the Chard Cornes and Dean Brogan trades and mentioned that they may be able to get Ebert through the PSD, so we might get a GWS PSD pick and in return get Ebert for nothing.
You can't trade a PSD pick....
You nominate for the PSD you are bound by the rules on being a registered AFL player. You go to who ever picks you. Ebert refuses its draft tampering.

GC and GWS need hard bodied players exactly like Ebert, they'd even consider picking him up for free and on trading him next year, a 2nd rounder next year will be a decent pick. If Port won't trade next year they turn the entire thing into a farce.

Pay up something decent or take a hike. Would rather lose pick 33 and let every club know we don't get shafted. Free agency just around the corner and Eagles will be looking forward to that.

At this point 28 and 33 for Ebert and 45 is the best i can see our club asking for as we don't particularly want any players they'd be prepared to let go of. However they also want Griffen, so their club is more than likely going to try to have their cake and eat it too. They could offer 45 to Freo but would that get that deal done? I doubt it. And i also doubt Freo want any of their fringe. So unless Port trades out players and or picks for players or picks we want this is going to be messy.

Maybe getting another club involved could be an option. This goes back to the Mitch Clark talk..

Speaking of which: Motlop really wants to be traded out of Port. If the Dockers are interested in him at all 45 & motlop should definitely get the deal done. In saying that though I'd prefer Motlop on my list on his own over Griffen.

What do you think of this then?

Three way deal.

Port - Griffen, Ebert
Westcoast - 16, 45
Fremantle - 23, 28, 33

Not sure it's balanced so tell me what you guys think?

Ebert is probably worth pick 16 by himself without giving up 23. If we do give up 23 as well we would want pick 28 at least, or 33.

Yeah. 28+33 for Griffin would be fine. Surely 23 on top of that would be unnecessary.

Perhaps a player + 23 for Clark and we keep 16?
