Josh Kennedy's supremacy
Either way, there is no denying Motlop can e an x-factor and possesses some incredible abilities. Carlton really have no use for him either way given they already have a half dozen similar players, the thinking and idea behind the three way trade was fair, I thought.

A bit strange that we arnt being linked to any players other then Mitch Clark. Its no secret we have cash to spend. We just seem unwilling to spend it atm it seems

I don't think Fremantle are going to trade out their ruckman. Sandilands doesn't have long left.

Ebert and 23 to Port
Griffen to Port for Pick 23
Ebert to Eagles for Pick 6

Freo Get: Pick 23
Eagles Get: Pick 6
Port Get: Griffen and Ebert only they lose pick 6.

Wishful thinking but it is the fairest possible deal.

GP.

This is why free agency will be good. We'd have had the luxary to approach players like Murphy, Pendlebury, Thomas who where out of contract earlier this year. Not saying we would have secured them however currently we're unable to approach players until seasons end.

There isn't really anyone on the market, Mitch

Read today that Andrew Krakouer whilst still under contract in 2012 is asking for an extension and a big pay rise, his manager said he is asking for $500k per annum going forward..... which is a tad unrealistic.

There are quite a few Pies out of contract next year that are demanding hefty pay increases and probably deserve them.

We will have to just wait and see what we will spend this year in trade week, if we don't land a big fish I'd suggest we have front loaded a heap of contracts to free up room for next year when free agency kicks in.
Not interested in him. 10% ability, 90% hack
(Y)
In depth he has a point though. Stevenson was linked to Collingwood, and Collingwood seem to be interested so it may mean we might have one of their players heading over this way.

Port will not give up their 6th pick unfortunately. Though it is fair especially given Fremantle can really play hard-ball as Griffen is still in contract.

Furthermore I think you should read through the rules on free agency. When it says limited it means very limited.

Pick 6 won't happen even if we offered them 23 and 45 as well. Unless we were giving them Lycett as well as has been mentioned. But do not want. What will six get us anyway? If 4 has been offered for Omeara then we would need to give six and a player or two. That seems way too high for Omeara. I don't think we will be going for clark either. Just smoke for Freo IMO.
