What are you guys on about lol? Ebert has already said he wants to leave

WEST Coast midfielder Brad Ebert has requested a trade to Port Adelaide.

Ebert wants to return to his native South Australia and has specified the Power, a club with a long family history, as his preferred home.

Ebert's cousin Brad is a 150-game player for Port Adelaide while father Craig and uncle and AFL Hall of Fame member Russell Ebert also boast strong ties to the club.

"It's very disappointing [to lose Brad]," West Coast football operations manager Neale Daniher said. "We have put a lot of time into developing Brad and considered him an important player in our future plans.

"At just 21 years of age he has his best football ahead of him and he is highly regarded at our club, not just because of his playing ability, but also because he is a quality individual who has contributed strongly in his time at West Coast."

Ebert played 22 of a possible 25 games for West Coast this season, losing his place after the Eagles' qualifying final loss to Collingwood.

Taken at No.13 in the 2007 NAB AFL Draft, Ebert has played 76 games with only Cyril Rioli (83) and Harry Taylor (90) having played more from that year's draft pool.

The loss of Ebert comes after rookie list players Tim Houlihan and Jarrad Oakley-Nicholls were told their contracts will not be renewed for 2012.

Josh Kennedy's supremacy
Saw those delistings coming, as with Ebert going, obviously management didn't want to give him more time in the middle so he'll get an opportunity elsewhere
