Interesting on Clark but I have something that will blow that out of the water.

Heard this juicy gem.

WCE have offered GWS two players allegedly Stevens and Masten for pick 2. Now no one is beating GC for pick 1 in the U17. Eagles know this but have offered two players for pick 2 in the main draft. Eagles are chasing Coniglio and not O'Meara. GWS are up for the trade as they will get pick 4 from GC thus still having 3 of the first 4 picks. They have worries that Coniglio will not stick around past 2 years and would prefer to stay in WA. O'Meara more intent on GC as Swallow, Matera and Bennell are there.

It has substance in a far fetched way but I didn't believe it was complete BS.
I thought for a second it was for the mini draft. If that is the case, then WCE get it done :D that would be simply nothing short of awesome.
I'd like to see a source on that.
^^

I would definitely take this and so would the players. GC's problem this year is the weak draft, particularly for top-line mid-fielders. This would give them two blue collar guys.

As a side note, who would go pick 1? Would be a shame to get pick 2 and then have them pick Coniglio pick 1.
Shhhhhhhh guys, that's supposed to be a secret. :P

Patton should be a lock for pick 1, Ian. You would assume there would be an in principal agreement that they would not take Coniglio.

Just posting what I heard. I heard this ONLY on the GWS side. Don't know what WCE is up too.

I think it hinges on Coniglio's mindset. He really doesn't want to go to Blacktown. I can't blame him it's a shithole.

I guess even if they do take Coniglio with pick 1, Patton would do us nicely.

Either way. If GWS had decided they didn't want Coniglio and were going to put pick 2 on the open market, they could get a lot more than Masten and Stevens I would have thought.

Could also get a lot less. But that's the far fetched part of it.

Saying that they won't draft a kid they are worried will walk after 2 years plus if they get GC's pick 4 they will still have the same amount of picks and get two player that will play round 1.
