I know being pessimistic and wondering about Coniglio and his knee , missed the Draft Combine and a fair slice of SD season ,.... and he was interviewed last week and said had been having knee issues through the year , hopefully nothing serious but WCE should check or maybe they shouldn't and hope for the best

So why would they give us pick 2 then?..Kyle
Because it's being suggest Coniglio will play for Westcoast.
In reality Masten and Stevens isn't under value, it's speculative how GWS rate these two players and with picks 1,2,3,4 and 5 they don't exactly lose out as far as selections go.

Patton, Buntine, Mitchell and Wingard are the only players sure things in this draft besides Coniglio for mine and alot of these Vic mids are too slow and poorly skilled to be really rated to previous drafts.

Stevens would be a top fifteen pick this season without too many problems such is the quality of the draft.

If Coniglio was going to play 200 games for GWS then they lose out. If he only plays 44 then they arent exactly losing out if he nominates Westcoast in two years time as many suspect he will.

From someone who hasn't seen Coniglio much except for the 2010 WAFL GF, how much upside does he have? Is he going to come into the AFL a ready-made player and then plateau early, or is he going to come in and have untapped potential?

Wouldn't mind either tbh.

Meh - we took a punt on Chris Judd and his dodgy shoulders, and that one worked out all right for us.

Except for the part about him now playing for Carlton

J.Selwood slipped a bit due to dodgy knees. He's had a reasonable career so far.

I'd be against losing Ebert, Masten and Stevens all at once unless the deal is hugely in our favour. We need more depth in the middle.

But we got Kennedy, and, IF this rumour is true, half a Coniglio for Juddy. Could've been worse.

midfield depth is easily found, genuine elite-quality midfielders are like gold

You may be right Anton, I just don't think we'll get what they're worth if we trade them this year. Shallow draft, several years of development in high draft picks but not a lot of output yet.. I punch those numbers into my calculator and it makes a sad face.
