Can't see anything good coming out of this. What a disgrase, we invested 72 games into him...Ben Newton/Jarrad Irons both possible icons as part of the trade

True Lachy. It's disappointing despite being the player everyone loves to hate he did have a lot of upside.

How about getting Griffen off Fremantle for a draft pick then using Griffen to steal Pick 6. Griffen + Ebert for pick 6

Good in theory, would be a great result for all parties involved.

Can't see us landing that deal unfortunately. Doubt Port will be willing to give up pick 6 which is potentially a homegrown Chad Wingard.

WEST COAST could help deliver Adelaide star Kurt Tippett to the Lions.

AFL trade week begins on Monday and the Eagles have made a pre-emptive strike for a possible three-way deal that could mean departing Lions star Mitch Clark goes home to Perth and Gold Coaster Tippett returns to Queensland.

The Eagles have contacted the Lions to express their interest in Clark.

Bitter West Australian rival Fremantle was considered the front-runner for the 23-year-old but has been caught napping by the Eagles, who have wasted no time since midfielder Brad Ebert told the club he wanted to be traded to a South Australian team.

Haven't a clue why we would be interested in Clark unless its simply to drive up Clark's trade value.
