Back on the Ebert deal.

Port wont give us 28 its obvious that they are wanting to hold on to that pick to get a ruckman.

We may not like how they are treating us, but the reality is that they know they have the upper hand, if both parties dont do a deal there is a very good chance they will pick him up for nothing via the PSD.

If we get 33 thats about as good as its going to get.

Sad but true.

Gunston got pick 24 and a couple of other upgrades. There is no way that Ebert is worth less than Gunston. We have already come down a lot to pick 28. To backtrack again to pick 33 - it really has little to no value in this draft - plus we will lose a lot of face and look like pushovers at the trade table. If Port won't trade pick 28 then tell them to get stuffed and try their luck in the PSD. Pick 33 is not even close to a make or break pick. We can do without pick 33.

I would prefer we spoke to Ebert and pointed out that it appears Port doesn't value him as a player, so we can't make a trade. Now, does he really want to sell the club out and go in to the PSD? I would think there is a good chance he re-signs if not just for a year.

Looks like Port Adelaide are dealing with a third party so they can send pick 33 to the third club and the third club sends a player to West Coast and Ebert off to Port Adelaide.

Would be very happy with that player is Macaffer.

Ebert to PA for 33 & 51

Pick 51 to WB for Hill

Leaves us with picks 23, 33 & 45.

Bones, Wilson, Dalziell delisted.

Hams upgraded.

If we want to use 3 picks in the ND I can see us rookie listing Neates.

Minimal as usual.

So you rate Ebert on par with Macaffer?
