One of my missions in office is to establish a regional economy, as we are capitalists, after all. To do this, the groundwork must be laid for a successful free-market system. First, a business district must be established. This will give people a clear, defined place to set up a storefront and sell services. These stores would be limited, as no material goods can be created. However, other goods and services, such as newspapers, advice, flags, art and original stories could be sold here and delivered through any number of means. A business district on the forums would also encourage businesses by clearing up ambiguity about their location. This area of the forum could become a landmark and it would make storefronts easier to find. The second step in the process is establishing some form of regional currency. While bartering and favors may work on a small scale, successful economies require money. I know from experience that creating a regional currency is possible; however, I am not certain as to how one is created. For this, I must consult the citizenry of Capitalists. If you have experience in this field, please tell me. Thank you. The details of the economy, such as acquiring money through a salary or posts, or government duties, like taxes, will be worked out later. For our stage now, laying the foundation is enough.
