Enduring and Eternal
The Aladowan is the headquarters of the Valadian Government. The building is located in the center of Vyviau, a few blocks away from the Palace of Eternal Glory. The building is named after a prominent Valadian genia who died during the fighting that overthrew the old Valadian Republic and led to the creation of the Empire. The name of the building has become shorthand among Valadians to refer to the government in general.![]() The front entrance of the Aladowan, as seen from Langeldras Square. ![]() Entrance hall of the Aladowan. ![]() Library of the Aladowan. ![]() The Minor Hall of the Aladowan, where the Small Council meets. ![]() The Major Hall of the Aladowan, where the Grand Council meets. Enduring and Eternal
The Palace of Eternal Glory, in Vyviau, has been the home of the Jirathlas emperors for over 300 years. It is the latest of a series of palaces that have stood on the same site, overlooking Egelgundur Bay, since the founding of the Eternal Empire in 980. The Palace is considered a new building, compared to much of the capital, which dates to antiquity.![]() The western facade of the Palace. ![]() The southern facade, pathway through the Forest of Serenity. ![]() Another view of the western facade, at night. ![]() The Parade Ground, where the Emperor reviews troops. ![]() One of the formal galleries. ![]() The Yellow Room, where the Emperor or his representative traditionally greet foreign visitors. ![]() The Great Hall, where state dinners are held. ![]() Reception area for the Hall of Lions, the Imperial throne room. ![]() The Hall of Lions. ![]() Private sitting area in the Emperor's quarters. |
