I have been against signing Nicks, but he mentions Indy by name here...
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000332163/article/hakeem-nicks-wants-to-play-with-colts-andrew-luck

Hakeem Nicks' camp leaked a story Saturday, circulating news that the free agent is finally healthy and willing to consider a one-year contract.
Now Nicks is clarifying that he wants a long-term deal from a team with a established quarterback and a need at wide receiver.

--------------------------------------

"I know if I went to a place like Indianapolis I would be dangerous with a quarterback like Andrew Luck," Nicks said. "I can see myself catching passes from Cam Newton or even Philip Rivers. ... I just want to make it clear that I want a long-term deal and I want to be happy."

--------------------------------------

Saturday's leak is a tacit admission that he will have to accept a lesser deal to rebuild his value before hitting the NFL jackpot. In which case, teaming with Luck in Indianapolis is the right idea.

Give this guy the DHB deal. 1-year 'prove-it' contract, then look to extend if he is what he once was, and suits up for 19 games

Isn't there a way to sign a 4-year deal with an option after year one?

You would have to make all the money after one year non-guaranteed. Then you could cut him after a year with no penalty.

Absolutely not! This guy has been a malinger every year and has shown the past two years especially that he's lost his speed. He's another one of those guys who never quite gets over the hump and breaks out. He's had five years to show what he's got and the last two have been his worst.

No way, nope, nada!!!

If we do sign Vontae, we should DRAFT a WR in rounds 2 or 3. Maybe add a guy Like Cotchery for depth on the cheap.

Wish we could find a way to pull off Byrd and Davis, but that has to be about impossible if we want to have any money left.

Some random person has just posted in reply to an article on nfl.com that 'Hakeem Nicks is visiting the Colts tomorrow', in response to the Panters trying to lure Nicks after trading Smith. I just asked him for a source because I haven't read that anywhere. I'll post the link if he provides one, otherwise it's BS
