One team showing very real interest in #Ravens DE Arthur Jones is the #Colts. The interest is mutual. Jones has gotten a lot of play so far.

He has been my #1 guy for weeks. Get him, a Center and a NT...fill in the rest in the draft.
Post here more often, Hawk.

Great to hear
Does he play both DE and DT?
Jones is listed as a DE and 6'3 and 315 lbs
It says he plays both DE and on passing downs DT

Reports say that he's expected to sign with Colts today for 6-7 million a year. Fingers crossed it's true.

Defensive end Arthur Jones has reached agreement with the Indianapolis Colts, with NFL free agency set to begin at 4 p.m. EDT.

The Baltimore Ravens knew their chances of keeping Jones were remote because he was likely to command a high price as a free agent. He had drawn interest from the Washington Redskins, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans before reaching agreement with the Colts. The Baltimore Sun reported that he is expected to win with Indianapolis for over $6 million a year. In Indianapolis, he’d be reunited with his former Ravens defensive coordinator, Chuck Pagano, who is the head coach now.

Fantastic! $6-7 million per year is very reasonable, especially as Redding will probably be gone next year.

Redding will likely be gone, or resigned for a cheaper contract after next season. After next season, RJF can be cut and would give the Colts some cap space back.

Jones is the future of the DL, paying him 6-7 per is fine with me. We have some really good DL depth right now, really good. Just need one more NT type.

Arthur Jones
Corey Redding
Ricky Jean Francois
Fili Moala
Josh Chapman

And guys like Montorri Hughes and Pendleton have potential too.

I hope Redding isn't gone. He's one of the best players we have in that front 7, and a team leader to boot. I'm looking forward to what he's going to do with jones out there with him.

Redding is still signed through this season. Might not be back in 2015, but he'll be there this season. Jones, Redding, RJF and Moala as our DEs with Hughes playing both DE and assisting Pendleton at NT behind Chapman.
