Reportedly requested that the Patsies release him.

I read the headline but since I'm at work, I don't have time to click on the link. Does he give a reason as to why? Would love if we could lock him up

Just saw that, too. I'd be interested, but we probably wont pay him what he wants.

Him and Cody, though. Either one. Just drop them in the middle of your DL and your run defense automatically ranks in the top 10...

His base this year is 7.5. He's a load, but he'd cost us. I'm not sure we could swing him and a center.

Exactly!!!

Time to invest a little into our offense this offseason. we still do have a need or 2 on D, but not as pressing as Center.

If it came down to signing either Wilfork or Mack, which would you rather have? If healthy, Wolfork would solidify our run defense in a major way. He, along with Jones and Redding, would give us the strongest run defense we've had, maybe ever...

Mack is younger and it would be awesome to have a pro bowl center for Luck. It will be interesting if the choice is presented to Grigs. If Wilfork is released, I don't think we would look to spend that kind of money on an older linemen. But who knows...

Hands down, Mack.

I'd rather go with Mack, if I had to make the choice. We won't find a better C available on the FA market for the next 10 years. He also has plenty of great playing seasons left. How many good years does Wilfork have left?

its not even a question. Mack is younger, Wilfork is coming off of an injury, we have a bigger hole at center than we do at NT, so yeah I don't think anyone, Grigson included would PICK Wilfork over Mack.

BUT

I suspect the competition to get Mack is much much tougher than the competition to get Wilfork. For one thing, all 32 teams need a center, Wilfork is only gonna be wooed by teams that play the 3-4.
