Kurt Coleman, formerly of the Eagles, is coming for a visit. Not very thrilling. Would provide depth, I guess, but we have to go safety in the draft. That he was involved in one of the hits on Collie is a pretty big strike against him for me personally. I remember that hit in the Eagles game.

Hope it's in regards to depth and nothing more.

Grigson rarely brings guys in and doesn't close. I expect a press conference soon about how between Coleman and Howell they believe next years starter at safety is already on the team...

Honestly though, even if they do sign him, I can't imagine us not drafting a safety. Our talent at the position is woeful in a league that is changing so that safeties are big difference makers. I think that you can make a decent line with Holmes or Costa as a starting center, especially if our guard play improves. Our secondary, however, is going to be torn apart if our starting safeties are some combination of Landry/Howell/Coleman.

No announcement so far. Is it sad I'm hoping we don't sign him?

I don't know anything about him. He can't cost very much, if they brought him in I assume it would be for depth.

If it was just some guy, I'd say fine for depth, if nothing else, but given that he was involved in the Collie hit, I hold a little bit of a grudge.
