The Colts picked up Anthony Castonzo's fifth-year option. He'll be with the Colts for the next two years.

Makes sense. I imagine his next contract will cost us more if we decide to keep him.

Yes, the real question will be do you give him what he'll likely want when his next contract comes do. This is what can make or break a team, contracts like V. Davis and potentially Costanzo. If the guys are busts, or even just average at that point, it really can set you back.

I will be very interested to see what a long-term contract for Anthony Castonzo will look like. Frankly I envy him and his agent. Right now, I can already tell he is going to fetch a contract for more than he is worth. But can a team like the Colts with consistent OL issues really let a good LT walk in free agency? I don't think they can.

I hope Castonzo improves over the next two seasons to prove himself worthy.

If he doesn't, he'll be a memory. But for now, Grigson has 2 years to figure it out. I fully expect guys like Toler, Landry and Walden being cut after 2014, in anticipation of clearing cap space for the real core players for 2015 and beyond.
