I hope he is there when Colts pick in 2nd round.
The more I read about him,I think he will be a very good corner in NFL
He started the off season around a 4th or 5th round pick
But he is flying up the draft board.
If it continues he will be a late 1st or early second round pick
Good height, weight, decent speed, great instincts
Play for very small school
But had 25 INT in college
Good press corner

YOU READ MY FREAKIN' MIND. I wouldn't bite in round 2, though.

Probably not, but there are others that can provide help. Marcus Roberson is one. There's about 20 legit CB prospects in this draft.

Would love to get safety Ward, or Buchanan, or Brooks but i think Desir will be special
I hope we go CB or Safety in round 2 and 3
Get a NT or a Guard in 5th
Other 2 rounds best player

I'm kind of hoping Gabe Jackson will still be there at 59. We need guard help badly and at least physically, this guy is a monster.

Keep in mind that Desir is very raw and played against low level competition. Not sure what makes you think that he'll be "special." I do agree that we should go S/CB in rounds 2/3, back to back. Very thin back there, and to make matters shakier, Toler is rehabbing his injury after surgery...while Bethea is now a Niner.
I also agree with your premise of adding a Guard and NT on day 3. While they are certainly positions of need, the secondary is woefully thin at the moment.

Agree.

Protect the franchise is Job 1.

A few running lanes is a good thing, too.

I think that the team is high on Lance Louis, thus making Safety priority #1. Now watch Grigson draft a WR with his first selection...

Safety and O-line, but a WR not in the mold of Anthony Gonzalez wouldn't upset me.

I would wager a guess that the value at 59 would be a WR, but if players like Kyle Van Noy and/or Marcus Smith fall, it could make for an interesting dilemma for Grigs. Van Noy has a ton of potential and would pair nicely with Werner in the future. Problem with that scenario is that WR/OLB are not a glaring need like DB/O-Line are, while the team is 3 picks shy.

Van Noy was a boy among men and almost unstoppable in the games I've seen him play.

You still have to draft best available, not for need. No one you draft in the late second or third is guaranteed to start right away, so you draft for best available.

I would certainly agree with this notion, hope that Grigson does too. Van Noy is said to be coveted by the Chargers.

Kiper and McShay did a 3 rd mock on Espn, Rd 2 Xavier Su'a-Filo G UCLA, (McShay pick), Rd 3 Bryan Stork C Florida State, (Kiper pick). McShay stated that Filo is the #1 guard on his board and Kiper said Holmes needs challenged and that Stork could start. Fwiw, Kiper has Jackson going to the Giants in Rd 3.

I'm generally fine going best player available, if that player will eventually make an impact, hopefully sooner rather than later...... BUT....... if we draft the best available players, and they don't fill a position of need, we are left relying on UDFA's to be starters.

RELYING on UDFA's to be starters!

(If that was the case with Polian, you'd want his head on a spike.)

When you still have holes going into the draft, you gotta lean at least a little toward need... It can't be ALL about best player available.

Whether it's with our first pick or our last, we've gotta at least get the best available Safety at some time...

From what I have seen/gleaned, that is a bit of a reach value for Stork. Filo would be a solid pick.
