So which one will be our biggest weakness, or which one do you have more confidence in, safety or the offensive line?

Safeties. Ive liked Howell since before he got hurt and im kind of banking on Landry not getting hurt. But we at least KNOW what we have with Landry.

The Oline is just scrambled and full of questions.

I voted safeties, but with all of the mounting injuries and nagging injuries on the offensive line, I'm starting to change my mind.

Safeties.

I feel good about Mewhort. If Holmes is back by Week 1, I feel good about 4/5 positions on the line. They aren't all great players, but they will be good. I'm worried about Thornton at RG, but I'm willing to give him a chance to show he has taken step forward. Or else they need to get him out of the starting lineup quick.

At this point....who knows? Total question mark.

I am certainly hoping if one performs poorly, that it's not the Oline. I think if the Oline performs poorly there is much more of a ripple effect.

Delano Howell is allegedly talking to specialists about his neck so that he can decide whether he can continue his career or not.

Poor safeties can be masked by a good pass rush. Nothing can hide a terrible offensive line.

A good quarterback can hide a bad offensive line. See Manning, Peyton.

Hell, see Luck, Andrew.

He can't be covering it up too much or we wouldn't be having this conversation.

It is magnified when you rush for 50 yds. per game.

Things haven't gotten better at safety or on the offensive line. At least Shipley gives us more depth at center, but losing Howell only makes the problems at safety even more disturbing. The fact that we'll probably end up with Sergio Brown or Colt Anderson starting at safety is scary.

At safety we at least have a very serviceable safety in Mike Adams who has plenty of experience
At OL alot of questions
Just hope between Mehort , Holmes, Thornton , Harrison, and Shipley they stay healthy once they get healthy

So far it's the safeties. Adams is even worse than I expected.
