Passed to open the running game. Thats the only way this offense will work. Going to ignore the plays where we tried to force the run in short yardage. I feel like the Colts have never been good at that as long as ive been a fan. |

I don't remember having to get excited about a TD pass against the other team's second string in a blowout loss. |

NYG did a favor for the Colts by taking Houston down a peg. The Colts should be better than Houston. I don't see Tenn or Jax contending for the division at this point. Colts need to win games like today against division opponents. They need to put Tenn away next week the same way. Then it should come down to how they compete against Houston. |

Jacksonville was exactly what the dr ordered right now for the Colts. It was good to see them put up a strong showing like that. Hopefully they get some of their confidence back. It was nice to see them even be able to generate some pressure. |

Yes, and to me, this was the Colts 5th "preseason" game. This was a game, against what amounted to a bunch of scrubs, where the Colts' first stringers came out and tuned up for the regular season. This should have happened three weeks ago, but there's such a worry about injuries and roster positions before the regular season that it seems that teams can't jell before week 1, unless you have a young team that has to play everyone. So this was a great opportunity for "live action" with the whole regular squad against a team that was not going to put up much of a worry, and hopefully this will be a springboard forward as a group. |
