The plays Moncrief and Whalen made yesterday have more to do with him being released than the DUI.

Of course I don't expect anyone in the news media to mention that, they'll just point out the hypocracy of cutting a player but not an owner.

Which isn't hypocritical at all since you can't cut an owner.

It's too bad. Who knows what Brazil and Rogers could have become for us if they just didn't take chances and make dumb decisions.

They had potential to be solid/great number 2 receivers, but Moncreif already looks better than either of them ever did.

It's a combination of the fact that he was already #6 on the depth chart(which was evident yesterday when Whalen was in with the "2's" at the end of the game) and that I'm pretty sure that both he and Brazil were on a last strike type deal with the team since they both had previous issues. Always hate to lose depth, but the hope going into the season was that Rogers never saw the field anyway. This just frees up a roster spot for another position.

Not good that another promising young player with a history of problems (Purifoy)was a passenger in his vehicle.

Yeah, Purifoy best watch it.

S Dewey McDonald was brought up to take the open roster spot.

I did not completely understand that McDonald moved up for the spot held by Rogers until I heard about Landry.

Plus Colt Anderson is nursing a hammy issue.

PLEASE: Rogers and Brazill are not great talents and no big loss, btw. I'll take Whalen over those 2 clowns in a heartbeat.

Yup. No big loss. WR is still by far our deepest position...

I'm actually more disappointed about Rogers than Brazill. Thought he had legit potential. He, Moncrief and TY as our future three was tantalizing.
