Interesting. They're terrible so they're finding other ways to draw fans.

Hey don't knock it. During the Colts/Jags game the camera kept going up there. They had some pretty nice bikini talent. :)

I don't understand why someone would go to the game just for the pool. That kind of stuff has never made any sense to me, but I guess people eat it up for some reason.

They were showing during the "Come-on Man" segment where a lady was at the Jags game. She was in the pool. But, she was in full jeans and a shirt, whereas everyone else was in their swim suits.

Really???

The difference is in casual fans vs real fans.

People like us are real fans. Real in the sense that we go for the game, follow the offseason, know most of the player numbers, etc. Going to a game for the party would never occur to us, not counting pregame tailgating. To casual fans, it's a party and the hot place to be.

I've lived in Jax for awhile. They aren't typically real Jag fans. The Gators are kings there.

We have a local minor league team where I live (Single A) where they have a great new stadium and numerous attractions for kids and families - bounce house, zip line, new ferris wheel, etc. No one pays much attention to the games anymore. It's more like an excuse to go somewhere to have fun. Of course that's a minor league game where you're paying like $10-$20. Can't imagine spending all that money on an NFL ticket to go sit in a pool. Guess that's part of being a real fan though. When I'm at a game, I'm usually too excited and stressed out to relax in a pool.

Not even that, it is like going to the circus to see the sideshow. Yeah maybe I want to see the guy swallow that sword, but if the main attraction isn't enough alone to get me to go I'm not going to go. I don't go to restaurants for the atmosphere, or because they have a guy cook your food right in front of you. I'd rather go someplace that looks like a dump, but has great food (and passes inspection) than someplace that has someone diving off a cliff.

LOL at the lifeguard. How do you land that job? That would be all Jax needs, for prime-time cameras to show the pool and some guy's doing the dead man's float.

They could always say he's just imitating the Jaguars.
