Wow. Can this guy, Michael Silver, whine for Brady any more? He makes it sound like Peyton NEVER restructured his contract to help out (which is a lie - he has done so), yet he holds Brady on a high pedestal as someone who always took pay cuts to help out, and now Belichick is "dissing" Brady with letting good guys go (like Welker) and not putting a good cast around Brady, yet Peyton has always had good players around him. This is just a sad example of what is construed as good journalism. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000406473/article/silver-cant-blame-pats-brady-for-being-frustrated I call it fan-boy whining if you ask me. |

Ok. Did that dude just compare Brady's current debacle with the misfortune of an AIDS patient? Or was it just with the actor playing an AIDS patient? |

The Pat's running game the last two games has been better than Peyton ever had. His o-line has always been better. Skill players are great, but having time to just stand in the pocket trumps skill players. |

I think the difference in what happened the year Brady was out with a knee (10-6) vs what the Colts did without Peyton (2-14) says all anyone really needs to know about the situation. Brady, all though a great QB, has thrived on an excellent team. The Colts of the Manning era were a mediocre team with possibly the greatest QB of all time leading them to excellence. |

Actually the non-Brady Patriots went 11-5.

And the Broncos' mediocrity from the day Elway left to the day Peyton arrived says a lot about the actual quality of that team. |

I also think Manning makes his receivers better. Marvin Harrison played 2 years before Manning arrived and didn't have a 1,000 yard season either time. Marcus Pollard, Ken Dilger and Dallas Clark all looked like great players with Manning, but did nothing without him. Brandon Stokley was a 30 catch a year guy, but with Peyton he had over 1,000 yards and 10+ TDs. Both of the Thomas' in Denver are really good players, but Manning is making them look like the best receivers in the league. When they had injuries last year Eric Decker had a 4 TD game. |
