Percy Harvin traded Harvin traded for a conditional pick that would be a 2nd - 4th rounder. |

Wow, this is kind of a shock. Especially considering what they traded to get him and the big extension they gave him. I guess they did win a super bowl? Still weird. |

Just weird. The Seahawks are probably the favorite to win it all this year. Even if he's a headache in the lockerroom, why jettison a guy that can make plays on offense and kick returns for a mid round pick you aren't going to use until next year? |

Constantly hurt. Big cap number, when they need the space next year for Wilson. Locker room pain in the keyster. Good bye and good luck. |

The guy knows his value to the offense. I have watched 2 or 3 seahawk games this year and they do not use him at all. If i was a seahawk fan it would annoy the crap out of me. Every time he touches the ball hes a threat to take it to the house. Harvin would be unreal in an offense like ours. |

From Pro Football Talk: "As the shocking trade of Percy Harvin to the Jets continues to dominate the NFL news cycle, reports from Seattle indicate that the Seahawks simply decided they couldn’t tolerate Harvin’s misbehavior, which included multiple fights with teammates and a refusal to play late in Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys. One fight took place the week before the Super Bowl and left then-Seahawks receiver Golden Tate with a black eye, according to Lance Zierlein of Sports Talk 790 in Houston. Another fight took place in the preseason this year and left receiver Doug Baldwin with a cut on his chin, according to the Seattle Times. Harvin also reportedly took himself out of Sunday’s game and wouldn’t go back in when coaches asked him to play. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll was asked why Harvin didn’t play much late in the game and answered with a vague reference to “readiness,” but it now appears that the real problem was “willingness,” or lack thereof, of Harvin to get on the field." If this is true, I don't blame the Seahawks one bit. He had to go. |

No shock to me. This guy has always been a malingering pain in the ass. Good for Pete Carroll. |

Well this sheds more light on it. You can't have a player on the team that refuses to play no matter how good he is. |

That little dude putting a beat down on this big ass seahawk receivers???? Well assuming so, I didnt read about any damage to Harvin. Of course, could have been a sucker punch or two. |

Only the NY media can make this exciting. It's a who cares story truthfully. Guy hasn't done much of anything in a few years and the Jets suck! |

Well Harvin did have a great Super Bowl. Its true he was already the third ranked receiver on the Seahawks this year, but one of those guys who could score every time he touches the ball. Its definitely a story, but yeah if he went to the Chiefs or Browns instead of the Jets it wouldn't get half as much air time. |

It gets worse. "When the Seahawks traded receiver Percy Harvin to the Jets late last week for a conditional draft pick, one major reason why was because Harvin pulled himself from the Cowboys game last week and refused to reenter the contest as Seattle tried to make its comeback. That reportedly wasn't the first time Harvin tried that approach this season. According to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer, Harvin also pulled himself from the Chargers game in Week 2 (a Seahawks loss) and did the same in a preseason game when he saw safety Earl Thomas getting reps at punt returner." |
