I have been watching Colt games since 70'. It wasn't until about 90 that I really started to pay attention to more than scores and highlights on the evening news. Being an Oregonian, I rarely got more that a small 1 paragraph article post game...many times about the loss. With the advent of the internet, my world of being a Colt fan really blossomed. But during all that time, the one thing I can remember is the way a I felt as a game approached and of course how I felt watching it. Whether it was the later Unitas years, the Jones years.....to present.....each squad had a different feel as I watched the game. With Jimmy for a stretch, I felt like we would always get a stop....but could we ever get a first down? With Peyton I felt like we would always get a first down...but would we ever get a stop? This team has a feel that is unique. Andrew is a real fighter. You can hit him several times, but he is methodically planning on how to hit you back....and harder. No offense to PM, but Andrew never gets that lost look. Ever. TY has that big play feel that Marvin used to give us. Allen brings a TE feel that I have not felt since the Baltimore days. This defense puts the clamps on skill players in a way that I have not really ever felt. It's not just one or two players bringing pressure, usually from the DE position....it's coming from everywhere. It's not just one or two players shutting down WR's, its the whole secondary. I like the way this team feels. I've backed them every step from the change and they have delivered on their promises. "Let's hunt!" indeed..... Edited by Warhorse, Oct 22 2014, 03:23 AM.

Really feel all we're missing to be a consistant title contender is a little more depth and two playmakers on defense, ideally at safety and OLB. |

I worry about maintaining a consistent pass rush. Werner might already be our star of the future though. |

I certainly feel better about the stability of the team as a whole. We aren't relying on Peyton to perform miracles to win, but have talent and ability on both sides of the ball. I agree that ILB needs a playmaker more than OLB, especially since Newsome might be a good one in the future and Mathis might come back. Two 'mights' but still better than the nothing we had behind Freeney and Mathis. I have also seen Redding, RJF, and Kerr get more pressure on the inside rush than I've seen from our d-line for a long time, so there's optimism for a more consistent pass rush this year than in the past. |

Since our Colts moved to Indy in 1984, I do not remember a D so dominating. I'm very cautiously optimistic they will continue to dominate. Can't wait for the Pitt game. |

The last time a Colts defense was that dominant was the playoff game against the Chiefs during the Super Bowl run when Larry Johnson was going to run roughshod all over the Colts. I don't think the Chiefs got a first down until sometime in the 3rd quarter. |
