Maybe the Broncos scoreboard operator needs to be educated and learn from the ones in Indy? When the offense was on the field, the message was to be quiet. When the D was on the field, the message was to be loud. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/24765368/peyton-manning-goes-off-on-broncos-disrespectful-scoreboard-operator Can you say that Manning doesn't care too much for Rivers? I mean, he was peeved that they showed Rivers on the jumbotron. Too funny. Edited by isamuelson, Oct 24 2014, 08:02 AM.

Too funny is right. Probably the only reason Rivers was shown on the sideline was because he was constantly filmed by cbs on the sideline. I don't know if the jumbo tron is fed by the telecast or not, they showed Manning a bunch but they showed Rivers a lot as well. They might have showed Rivers pouting or whining or screaming about something, there were plenty of clips of that. Maybe they showed the one where he feel to his knees and begged the sideline not to call a timeout, or when he screamed into his helmet in anger about the playcalling. Funny stuff. I think Peyton could relax about this one. |

I think Peyton thought it was disrespectful to Rivers to show him on the screen. |

By Peyton's fifth year in Indy the fans were so well trained, they would have remained quiet no matter what was on the jumbo tron. Most educated football fans know when to cheer and when not to. |

Telling the crowd to shut up and calling out the damn scoreboard guy in the media, making this a story when it's not. Peyton really puts the ASS in clASS. |

The crowd should shut up when the offense in on the field, especially one that calls so many audibles and waits right until the last second to snap the ball. If the scoreboard operator was telling the crowd to get loud then he's an idiot. 45 I love that when we've got guys like Rivers, who pout and whine and get in opponents faces and bitch at the refs every game, that you're finding ways to call out Peyton for being an ass. You're really stretching things there, kinda like when Peyton mentioned a game where they had protection problems and certain members of the media (Boston) went nuts with how classless Peyton was to throw his teammates under the bus. |

Everyone knows that Rivers is an asshole. Most people don't know that Peyton is, too. |

I do know I have heard from Ray Lewis, Richard Sherman, a security guard at Lucas. All 3 have said what class he has In 2003 I met Manning at hotel that I stayed at. The colts stayed there. He was on his way to bus before game. He could not been any nicer to us. I sure he is far from perfect. But I can only imagine all the people pulling on him all the time. I am thankful the colts drafted Peyton. I am very thank ful the Colts drafted Luck as well!!! |

Oooohhhhh..... Now I get it. Just takes me a while. I kind of agree, though, that getting mad about it at that point in the game might have been a little over the top. The game was pretty well sewn up by then, wasn't it? I admit I had gone to bed before the play in question. I do also agree that Manning is under a much more intense microscope than most other players. I think it is because he is such a class act that people are just waiting for him to screw up. I remember how big a deal it was when Peyton said we had problems with protection (o-line was not good that day) after the loss in the playoffs to the Steelers (I think). He tried to walk around that answer and I thought he put it as delicately as possible after the 5th time he was asked, but it got blown way out of proportion. |

45 is all about the royal blue. I respect that. If you're not a Colt, you're the enemy. For me, if you're a former Colt, I appreciate you, but I hope you have made plenty of money, had a nice career and will retire soon because I can't cheer for you, not even Peyton. I can appreciate you, respect your achievements, but I won't cheer for you. I want everyone who is not a Colt to lose. When I love and admire Peyton it will be for what he did with a horseshoe on his helmet. Is that crazy? No. People understand Unitas never being an Indy Colts fan, it's the same thing! |

Yeah. Both should be held in reverence. Sorry to say but, the younger generation is a bit less appreciative of the past than us older guys. I don't get it, but...I really don't care either. |

Never met Peyton Manning, Don't know if he is an A-hole or not, I do know he was easy to root for as he led the Colts, Why many do not want to accept being a role model, Peyton has been a damn good one IMO and one kids can indeed look up to. He did nothing to embarrass the franchise or the city while in Indy and he made football relevant in Indy. I want the Colts to win the Superbowl this year and every year, If they cannot, I hope Peyton wins them. I don't care one damn bit about the Bronco's, I watch their games though because of Peyton.I truly don't care if some people don't understand that, Its their problem not mine. I will always be a fan of Peyton Manning and will only root against him when he is playing the Colts. |

I think I share pretty much the same stance as Scott. I love Peyton and i pay attention to whats going on with him, but i will only REALLY root for him if we are out of the playoffs. |
