Never realized Tirico was such a Giants homer.

Did anyone else notice how he questioned every call against the Giants & every non-call against the Colts?

It wasn't annoyingly obvious but it was close & definitely noticeable.

I noticed how they made such a big deal about the FLeener catch, and never really said how it obviously was a ccatch anyway, then acted like the red flag coming out should have stopped the TD play when it was after the ball was snapped. They questioned the facemask call on Bradshaw when the mask was grabbed and pulled, yanking his head to the side. That was a really obvious call I couldn't believe they questioned it.

I did notice it a little. It was Gruden, though, who said the most about the facemask on Bradshaw. Tirico was pretty adamant about a holding call on Davis, though. What seemed most ridiculous to me was when he pointed out that Hilton's hand was on the facemask of the defender on his td catch. That was such a non-issue I was surprised he pointed it out. There's no way that could have conceivably been a penalty, and was in no way intentional. Weird.

What I loved about the Fleener TD is it worked like it's supposed to and the refs got it right. So often in college and NFL games, the red flag comes out after the snap (usually immediately after) and the refs blow it dead. Colts have had that happen this year. The guys covering the game now act like the minute a flag comes out it should stop the action, even if the next play is underway.

Right! The red flag is exactly the same as signalling for a timeout. If the ball is already snapped you can't call timeout. Same with the challenge flag.

One of their players should have called a timeout. duh

Well you don't want to call timeout, then lose the challenge and lose another timeout.

Or maybe the 80 year old man who can barely move shouldn't keep the challenge flag tucked away in his sock if its something he needs to be able to get to in less than 5 minutes.

You can ask for a review DURING a timeout w/out losing the second timeout.. Keeping the red flag in one's sock is a sure sign of senility.

Wouldn't it be great to have a red flag for replay in real life?
