Troubled wide receiver Duron Carter, son of Hall of Fame pass catcher Cris Carter and formerly a top college recruit, is free to begin negotiating with NFL teams next month. And upward of 10 NFL teams are tracking the CFL standout closely. Several sources close to the player believe the Colts will quickly emerge as the favorites to land him, and Indianapolis has significant interest in the potential impact player.

Carter, 23, had significant off-field issues in the past – as did his father, Cris, who eventually became one of the dominant receivers of his era after going from Philadelphia to Minnesota – and according to CFL sources has matured and grown up considerably during his two years there. He still needs to be tended to closely at times, sources said, and can be high-maintenance for coaches, but also has game-changing ability as his father did, and is very explosive with a massive frame, possessing the height (6-5) NFL teams covet and weighing 205 pounds.

His size would be great to have, but the highlight video doesnt seem like its really full of highlights lol.

I want to see some use of his size to leap or box out guys for the ball. This looks like a highlight film of stuff even griff whalen has done.

Edit: Well i suppose the very last highlight is a jumpball for a great catch...

I know people love Whalen, but we can do better, be it this guy or someone else.

Remember that this guy is only 23. If he's only as good as Griff, he's an upgrade of 6" (insert jokes here).

As long as we don't spend much money. Tired of spending too much on skill players and having weak o-line and d-lines.

Agreed, but signing him would also eliminate the need in the draft to spend elsewhere.
