Aside from his forced INT and miss to Moncrief, I thought he hung in there quite well and fought throughout the contest. No blocking, no running game...jeezaloo.

This loss is on our defense, our coaches, our offense line for no run game
Not Luck

because its always all about the QB, which is completely ridiculous but we've seen it forever.

The Colts had nothing yesterday but Luck. Our offensive line was terrible and allowed guys to come in free on stunts repeatedly, we got pushed back in the run game and couldn't get so much as a yard, Pats could hold, push, pull our receivers all game long without one single pass interference or holding penalty against them, and then on defense we had nothing. We got absolutely shredded on the ground by a RB no one's even heard of, we were blown off the ball repeatedly, Brady had a clean pocket all game, and the only 2 times we got pressure he threw stupid passes that we picked off, we couldn't tackle, missing, whiffing, arm tackling and just piss poor effort across the board. Yet for all that it just comes down to Brady is better than Luck, beacuse people are stupid.

I thought that the pressure on Brady was adequate enough to win the game. The defense against the run was rather pukey.

Yup. This was all on the D last night. Allowing 200+ yards on the ground (I believe about 80 in the first quarter alone, over 100 by the end of the 1st half) pretty much sealed the fate of the Colts. It didn't matter if Luck scored on every drive. The D couldn't stop a runny nose last night.

The first 3 and out hurt which caused us to fall behind. The INT hurt, especially when we were down two scores in the 2nd half, but the game was still within reach as long as the D would hold up its end of the bargain, which it didn't do at all.

A pattern is emerging here folks. This D cannot hang with the better teams - Eagles, Broncos, and now Patriots.

It is what it is and there's not much else that can be done. But, you never know. Maybe it's just some things that need to be "corrected", as Dungy said after the beatdown that the Jags gave the Colts (300+ yards) in the season in which they won the Super Bowl. But, I don't know. We'll see.

The loss of Bradshaw sucks. Has anything been said about Allen as well? Broken ankle for Bradshaw is just a bad thing for him after coming off the neck injury last season.

Allen has seemingly dodged a huge bullet.

The media is in love with Brady vs Manning, or Brady vs Luck far moreso than Colts vs Patriots, Hence Luck get's all the scrutiny. The Patriots beat the hell out of the Colts physically plain and simple. The O-line was manhandled again and the D-line and linebacking corp flat out sucked, The Colts NT combinations were pretty much handled with single blocking much of the night, That simply cannot happen if the team is ever really going to be stout against the run. The linebackers missed far too many tackles, That said, Much of the night they were fighting off blockers because the D-line could not eat up any blockers and got pushed out of the way.
I am by and large an eternal optimist, However I just think that this team still is in need of a real talent influx on both the O-line and D-line, The trouble is I fear the window is closing on just how much they can address these area's of need with Luck's payday looming along with Hilton and Allen.
We will likely win our divison simply because overall it sucks, I just believe we really are not really any closer to being a serious contender in the playoffs than we were last year and that is a real cause for concern in my view, Year 3 of building the monster should have been a year were we really stepped up, Looks more like a plateau at this point in time.

We just have to have 2 more solid drafts coupled with astute FA moves. Luck ain't going anywhere, nor is Hilton, Allen, Fleener, Castonzo or Vontae. Jones needs to get healthy and show his (perceived) worth. After witnessing Gray's rampaging style last night, this is EXACTLY the type of RB that Grigson needs to find in this draft. One foot in the ground and hit the hole. More thick body types and less dancers. To say that we need alot more help along both sides of the LOS, is an understatement. To say that we need better ILB play is a gross understatement.

This loss is NOT Luck's fault. But he didn't exactly play phenomenally, either. I didn't get to watch a lot of the game because I was working, but it seemed like every time I looked up a ball was sailing a foot over someone's head or two feet out of bounds. Maybe it was because he was getting pressured, but it's certainly something that is a thing he does.

I'll take that instead of ill-advised throws into coverage. But yeah, he was pressured from Ninkovich's side too often. Castonzo played well on the left side.
