Jaguars Redskins Browns Texans Cowboys Titans Only the Browns and Cowboys have a winning record. We should be able to win at least one of those two games, and I don't think we lose to any of the other teams left. Which would put us at another 11-5 season. |

I think the Texan game could be a tough one. They have their running back playing again after missing the Colts game in Houston. |

Foster was out yesterday, but DID play against us in Houston. I'd be more than happy going 10-6. |

I guess you forgot the amazing comeback win against the Chiefs last year. No, we're not good enough on D and at run blocking to make a serious run, but we're still developing. I have more faith in these guys than I did the Colts teams that were getting bounced by the Chargers every year. |

I recall a certain colt team that got destroyed by the Jaguars before the playoffs. It was demoralizing defeat. Somehow that colt team's defense suddenly woke up and won Peyton's only Super Bowl. This was after the various talking heads stating the Colts were going one and out. I am not saying that this is going to happen this season. I am just saying that things CAN turn around and this team CAN make a run in the playoffs. Anything is possible as long as the team makes the playoffs. |

We run the table the rest of the year. Finish 12-4. You heard it here first. Probably because I'm the only one stupid enough to say anything. But I think we finish on a run, and then its anyone's guess for the playoffs. |

Suddenly was Bob Sanders return. Not saying he deserves all the credit, but he had a huge impact. Now that was a guy who brought an attitude to the team and he wasn't vocal, it was all about how he carried himself and the rest of the guys knew he alone could cover for a lot of their mistakes. His presence gave them more confidence. |

If we go 4-2 through this back stretch I'll be happy. |

Agreed that Sanders was a key player that sparked the defense but the other players did contribute. What that demonstrates is that it only takes one leader to spark a team. Is it possible the Colts can find that "spark" this year? I am skeptical but one can hold out some hope. They just need to get to the playoffs first. I believe that 11 wins will assure a playoff berth. Houston's schedule is not that difficult and they might win 10 games. That game on December 14 could be huge. |

How can anyone forget that? It gets brought up every year whenever anyone points out the very real flaws in every team since then. |

I guess my point was missed because I used the Colts as an example. There have been plenty of other examples of teams that really were poor teams and barely got into the playoffs. They ended up winning the super bowl because their team suddenly found itself in the playoffs. Recent examples are: The NY Giants of 07 (5th seed), The Steelers in 05 (6th seed and lost to colts in reg season 26-7), and the 2010 Packers (6th seed). As skeptical as I can often be, I just am not ready to bury this team when I know they have the ability to make a run. Is it likely? I don't think so. However, once a team makes it into the playoffs, anything can happen (just ask Peyton and Tom Brady, who have been knocked out by lesser teams). They just need to get to the playoffs. |
