Bradshaw placed on I.R. and OLB Victor Butler waived. TE Wesley Saunders added for insurance (Allen) and Cribbs signing official. Whalen still a Colt... |

Just read this from IndyStar. Although I think it is purely opinion-based, they talk about adding Tate over Blount as a possibility. So for now i guess we wait for him to clear waivers before we sign? Thoughts? http://www.indystar.com/story/colts-insider/2014/11/18/ben-tate-waived-browns-colts/19226705/ |

Does this mean Bradshaw can't return for the playoffs? |

I like Whalen and am glad we kept him. I like him best as a fifth receiver. I don't mind us trying to improve our return game at all. It never hurts to have another weapon in the field position battle. We are really going to miss Bradshaw come playoff time. The guy did a ton for our offense to this point. No matter what we do, there's going to be a dropoff in production at the position. He leads the team in touchdowns. I think of the options out there right now, I like Ben Tate the most. It also gives us the rest of the season to see what we've got with Richardson getting plenty of opportunity to show he's the guy so we know how important the position is come draft time next year(spoiler, I expect RB to be a high priority next offseason). |

I'm still wondering how Holmes keeps his job. |

The team obviously likes Holmes, but seems to be sending him a message. If we do draft a RB next year, I hope it's more of a thick, powerful type that plants and hits the hole quickly. |

For the record, just because I was down on Whalen on kick returns (and it seems the team agreed) doesn't mean I think he should be cut. We can certainly do worse as backup receivers go. That said, barring an injury and a chance at playing time, I think he's probably gone next season. Not many guys last long as a fifth receiver, especially when they can't also return kicks or standout on kick coverage. |

All I know is when called upon, he gets open and catches the ball. |
