I'm not talking about being named an alternate or actually attending the game, I mean being picked as one of the 3 QBs named to the AFC Pro Bowl roster. As stupid as the Pro Bowl is, the # of times you are selected is a big factor the Hall of Fame committee uses when considering candidates so it does matter. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are both leading teams with great records and putting up the usual big numbers for them. Both will likely throw for over 4,000. Manning leads the AFC is TD passes and rating. Brady is leading the team with the best record and has only 6 ints. Meanwhile Phillip Rivers is completing nearly 70% of his passes, is only slightly below Brady in TDs and yards and has the 3rd highest rating. Our boy Luck leads the league in yards has the 2nd highest rating, 2nd in TDs, and leads the league's best offense. I realize Ben R is also up there, but I can't imagine him topping 2 of the 4 guys listed above. Who gets left off? It seems crazy to leave any of these 4 guys off, but one of them will be. |

I am guessing that Rivers and Big Ben will be the ones left off the pro bowl. But, it really does not matter. Brady never plays in the pro bowl anyway. |

Luck is a legit MVP candidate, so thinking he's definitely in. |

Obviously we still have a few games to go before its decided, but based on where they are at now, you really can't leave any of those 4 guys off. Again this has nothing to do with playing in the Pro Bowl, as no one cares about the actual game, its about being named to the team, since that honor is such a big factor in HOF consideration. |

If it's strictly about HOF, Peyton and Brady don't have much to lose. Luck is well on his way, barring injuries. Rivers has a lot of work to do at age 32. He has five Pro Bowl appearances, is well behind the others statistically and has no championships or real awards to speak of. |
