Pagano is buttering them up. Hopefully it works and they're flat to start.

I'm not going to be disappointed in any season where we make the playoffs. Also too soon to give up. That said, yes, we have to take major steps this off-season to get better. A better draft, some free agent acquisitions that pay off for a change. Pressure is on Grigson and he knows it. He knows Irsay won't be content to watch us get to the playoffs with a QB like Luck. Irsay, like us, has watched this for 15 plus years.
Couldn't agree more.

I just wonder if having Mathis healthy this season could have made a difference. Either way, his return next season will not be a long term answer as he is getting up there in years.

We have several needs that need addressed, I am hoping that we have a productive off-season.

The problem is we have some nice players between free agent acquisitions and draft picks, but no difference makers since Luck's first year. We need the equivalent of a TY Hilton at LB or safety and the equivalents of Fleener and Allen on the offensive line.

2012 draft was a building block. Last year's was better than advertised, but HELP WANTED.
I thought the refs were pretty one-sided, f.w.i.w. and Simms/Nantz were puking me out.

P.S. Burn the darn game film.

Same here. Not that it would have mattered, we weren't ready to play, but if it had been a close game, the refs would have found a way to give it to the Cowboys. Did Freeman taunt? Yeah but I've seen much worse go uncalled in pretty much every game this season. Just a few plays later Dez Bryant kept his hand in Toler's face pointing at him after a flag was thrown and none of the refs cared about that. Rolando McClain slammed Reggie Wayne's head into the turf pretty hard and I thought that was pretty classless when we're talking about an aging veteran and a blowout game, but no one is talking about that play, only the Lions player who stomped on a leg.

Again it wouldn't have mattered, we had more bonehead plays yesterday than we've had all season long, but the officiating was pretty disgusting.
