I know we can win Sunday. I have a good feeling about it. That or I just can't stand the idea of our season ending in a playoff loss at New England two years in a row. We've already lived that nightmare once.

Sorry that I will not be able to participate in the thread. I have made plans for Sunday and probably will be away from my computer. I hope to watch, or listen, to the game. I want the Colts to wipe that smug smile off of Tom Brady's face. If the Colts win, there will be a lot photoshop images of Brady being stomped on by the Colt or being thrown off by the Colt (or both).

Yup. Let's hope Brady ticked off the D and they come gunning for him. Cover his receivers, cover the snot out of Gronk and put the pressure on him. This has to be changed so that instead, the horse is stomping on Brady:

I honestly think I hate the Patriots more than I love the Colts. I can't stand that, but as I considered our chances of winning this game, I found myself just hoping that if we do lose, that the Packers or Seahawks destroy the Patriots.

Its absolutely terrible to have more hate than love, but that team

Bill Belichick being so rude and evasive with the media
Lying on injury reports so much that the league changed the rules
Spying on other teams illegally and then colluding with the league to cover the whole thing up
Using fake injuries to grant your team extra timeouts and stop our game winning drive so you could formulate a defensive strategy
Illegally communicating with your team on gameday using alternate frequencies on the helmet radio
Bugging the other teams lockerroom
Coaching your corners to grab and hold our receivers so much the league had to clarify the rules afterwards
Blocking players that run out of bounds from reentering the field of play
Letting your field be turned into a giant mudhole before a championship game
Using illegal substitutions and formations so the opposing defense leaves your receivers uncovered
using illegal formations to block FGs by pushing other players through the line
The Tuck rule
and getting every single call the league can give you every single time because the entire league is set up to help the Patriots win.

I can't think of anything else in all of sports I hate more than the Patriots.

Tell us how you really feel Jedi! I agree that I dislike the patriots and I think BB is a jerk but they love him here in NE and how he is. He can do no wrong.
I dislike the Patriots because I have to live in NE and hear all the nonsense every year about how great TB and BB are even though they haven't won "the big game" in a decade. Amazingly, every other QB - especially if they have a #18 on the jersey - lost the big game because they "choked". The local stations have pretty much "guaranteed" a victory over the Colts this weekend. Even if I were not a Colts fan, I would be cheering for the Colts just to see the Patriots gag another "big game" and then hear how the local radio stations will spin it. They will start saying the Colts got lucky (just like they did about the NY Giants) or they will say something like "no other team has been to the Championship game four years in a row"......

I just hope the Colts can pull off the kind of perfect game that will beat the pats because it will take a great performance to win this game.

Seems like he comes out with a column like this every year and for the past decade he's been proven wrong again and again, as the Patriots lose in the playoffs again and again.

Funny how he "knows" this yet doesn't play the game. Just get it over with then. Stats show Colts will lose. Luck throws ints like candy. Pats rush like the water over Niagra falls.

Just give them the win and don't even play the damn game. Why waste everyone's time?

What a douche.

Hopefully their players are quietly as over confident as their media.

Dan S made the same comments the year the Colts did beat them in the AFCCG and he was wrong then. He also predicted the Red Sox would play at least another baseball game on the final game of the season during a rain delay. The Sox were winning against Baltimore at the time and Tampa was losing (If I recall they were tied in the standings). After the rain stopped, the Orioles rallied and beat the Sox in the bottom of the ninth. Meanwhile, in Tampa, the Yankees gave up a tying home run in the bottom of the ninth and Tampa won it in extra innings. Needless to say, there was no extra baseball for the sox that season.

I am glad he is saying this sort of thing. Colts should use it all for bulletin board material. They should be motivated already but it might provide additional inspiration to focus on their game.

Oh how I love how they say "Look at the score". Did they forget that the Colts were down 28-20 in the 4th quarter? The Colts were in that game until then.

I know Belichick won't overlook that. But I love how fans do.

Here is my rooting interest for the rest of the season

1. Colts
2. Packers
3. Seahawks

If none of these things happen, here is a list of alternate events I would prefer to the Patriots winning the Super Bowl.

4. Just before the Patriots win the game, I choose to open up that puzzle box that sends the Hellraiser cynobites to take me away to eternal torment.
4. The Death Star enters our solar system, instead of hopping in my X-Wing I call Lord Vader and beg him to fire before the Patriots win, blowing up our planet.
5. Marty McFly travels back in time and prevents my parents from meeting and I slowly fade from existence, hoping to disappear completely before they hand the Lombardi to Bill B.
6. I find myself onboard the Enterprise, wearing a red shirt. Kirk, Spock and McCoy walk by and ask if I want to join them on a mission. My options are either watch the Patriots celebrate or beam down to an alien planet. I tell Kirk I'm in.

If none of these options appear, and the Pats win the Super Bowl, then Inigo Montoya and Andre the Giant will hear an unholy scream and know that it is the sound of ultimate suffering. Even if Miracle Max makes a chocolate pill, don't give it to me, I'd rather stay dead than live in a world where the Patriots win another Super Bowl.

The sad part about Jedi's rant is that I understood every bit of what he was talking about.

Jedi, you and I can agree 100% on our hatred of the Evil Empire from New England.

For the record I shared that with some fellow Colts fans who would understand the movie references. They would enjoy it as much as I did.

I started something with some of my co-workers who are Colts fans at the beginning of the season when I heard that Phil Simms was going to refrain from using the term "Redskins" when announcing their games. I decided that since I am a veteran and consider myself a patriot I found it offensive that a term I hold dear was being used by a entity that I found deplorable and since September I have refrained from calling them by their chosen moniker but either simply New England or terms such as the Evil Empire, Cheatriots, etc.

I guess we will see just how good of a coach Belicheat is when Brady is done. Manning sure made a few coaches look like geniuses while he was with the Colts. I doubt the Patriots are going to be as fortunate as the Colts and find their Andrew Luck. Belicheat may be beloved in New England now, I feel pretty confident that a couple of seasons of not making the playoffs would change the landscape quite a bit.
I honestly used to like Tom Brady, I can't stand him now. He is an ass clown, The face book pic was classless, If I were Pagano I would have had T-shirts made with that pictue and would have made the players wear them everyday in practice this week. They always say Belicheat looks for every angle to motivate his team, Well Brady gave the Colts a real nice one to make it personal.
Jedi, I fully concur with your Pat's hatred, Mine pretty much started after the grab and hold AFC Championship game. I would love to see our defense return the favor on Sunday. I also agree completely that the Patriots and our beloved commish conspired to cover up just how bad Spygate really was. In my eyes that Patriots have no Championships under Belicheat and If the Colts can't beat them I will become a huge fan of whomever is playing them.

Can we stop the Pats offense
their running game has shredded us the last two games. I think the way our defensr has played the last few games we can contain fairly well.
the issue I see is can we cover Gronk. Who will cover him? Some experts are ssying vonte should cover him on passing downs. Davis is just to short. Davis could cover him. Think he would tackle him. But they would just throw the ball up high. We all know Landry can not cover him. So I think we have just got to beat the hell out of him on passing downs at the LOS. If the refs allow alot of rough play in secondary thst would help as much as the pats
So that leaves the obvious, got to get steady pressure on Brady and control the LOS . We do that and we have a great chance

I know exactly where your coming from. I first realized this about myself when I discovered I was about as excited when the Giants beat the cheatin' SOB's in the Super Bowl as I was when the Colts won it all the year before.

I am in the same boat. I want badly for the Colts to win but am very skeptical of that outcome.

Every time we've played the Pats in the playoffs, I felt like we'd win, and most of the time we've lost. This time I don't think we have much of a chance. Between the refs, the weather, the cheating, being in New England, and the Pats beating us badly earlier in the year, I just don't have a good feeling.

I've never wanted to be more wrong in my life than right now.
