I guess Pagano thinks that his defense can stop them.
Pagano is too busy deciding whether to choose Little Debbie's or fruit for the post game snack.

A turnover would be nice.

Offense and special teams lost this game. Keep giving the opposing offense good field position and you will give up points.

Defense isnt great, but weve seen this movie before. Offense doesnt do anything until second half.

It's not a damn penalty if you are blocked into the punter.

This series of downs has demonstrated the futility of the offense today. The only first down is due to Luck running the ball. Receivers dropping or not completing routes.

He hit his QB after he slid. Just show some toughness

Trying to figure out how all those offensive weapons were incapable of producing more than 14 points.

If it is just to show some toughness it is a pointless waste of time.

Maybe, but at least it would say something about their attitude. I'm not saying throw a punch or get a penalty. I mean, we are a blue monster right?

The one overreaction I fear may be warranted is Andre Johnson looking a lot more like Hakeem Nicks than Andre Johnson. No speed, no burst, no seperation.

Ya. screw that. let your QB take shots to the head and dont say shit.

How boring. We have definitely not shown an ounce of toughness in this game and quite obviously its not a waste of time because buffalo has been some tough bastards all game and dominated us.

Youd think maybe we could at least push a guy away from our QB who just got blasted.

About as disappointing of an opening day as you could ask for.

absolutely and completely out of synch. Luck's throws off, receivers running bad routes. Only good part of the game was the running offense and they decided to go 17 runs 49 passes? I've been saying this for years, Pagano is not the head coach he gets credit for being.

This isn't the same Andre' Johnson that played for the Texans...his age is showing, just like Reggie last year. I still think he will be effective on short routes needing a first down, but Moncrief looked much better overall.

Andre Johnson WILL have a good season. He is still a great receiver.

Gore also looked like shit, but i havent seen anyone say a word about it.

Agreed Bent......I saw nothing in this team today that indicated they were a super bowl contender. They failed to show an ability to protect Luck. Luck continues to throw interceptions at an alarming rate. The first one was an underthrown ball. The defensive line looked good early but then became lethargic after that. The secondary, despite having the advantage of facing an inexperienced QB, could do nothing to stop him from completing passes. All of these things can't be blamed solely on talent. There is a coaching problem here and it showed in play calling. Early on, the team showed it could run the ball with Gore and then they decided they wanted to do more than that. They proceeded to chuck the ball downfield. Very frustrating to watch.

Langford was a real good signing though and will really help the run defense. He can get pushed around, but at least is quick to the gap and ball when he gets separation. I'm not sold on the other signings though, but it is just one game.

Gore looked fine early on. He only seemed to have poor plays after he was reported to have cramps. He should not have been on the field at that point.

Luck played poorly. That is the story.

In 50 some dropbacks Luck was sacked once and hit maybe 5 times. He was under pressure at times, but against a fearsome front 7 like that, the OL didn't play that poorly.

The defense did not play well by any means, but they played like a middle of the road defense that they are. Nothing unexpected there, aside from one long ball to harvin and 1 or 2 runs that got loose, they played well.

The problem was the offense that couldn't get out of its own way and the special teams continuously making life difficult on the offense.

Luck was definitely in the wrong for throwing that last ball to Andre who tipped it straight up into the air for an interception.

So, in all seriousness, his one interception to TY doesnt really give me an alarming feeling, especially since he just played the defense that WILL be number one in the league this year.

The secondary did fine, how about a little discipline when rushing a running QB for one. Every team gets beat deep occasionally.

The Dline against the run did an exceptional job. The change of pace back killed us on 3 runs, but did an EXCEPTIONAL job on shady. And call me crazy but ill give up 3 decent runs to a back up if it means we hold one of the leagues top backs to an awful game.
