Colts D needs to make some plays... don't want Luck to have to do it all (wait - he is already doing it all basically)

Can't stop them.....
Could see that coming. The only way the Colts might win this one is to score a TD with no time on the clock, win the coin flip, and then score another TD.
Correction. They just need to score the TD with no time left and AV make the kick.

If anyone ever wanted to see an example of a Swiss Cheese defense, I present the 2016 Indy Colts.

Expect to see 30+ points run up on this team for at least the first half of the season until somebody - anybody - gets healthy.

Thought the Colts D would have troubles with Stafford...why couldn't the Colts have played a team with a crummy QB... Colts D even worse than I thought it would be. My prediction of 9-7 or 10-6 may be in trouble if the D keeps playing like this.

This next drive has to be going for it on fourth down. No punting allowed (unless it is fourth and 20 or 30).
Need to take their time on this drive now.
This is the final drive. It is four down territory and the Colts need to score with less than 20-30 seconds. If they score any sooner, I see Detroit finding a way to get a FG.

Dorsett's emergence today has definitely been a bright side.

Now the defense will let them drive for a score and it becomes a coin flip as to whether or not we win. Pretty much like every game in the Luck era. We start terribly, fight to get back in it and then maybe we pull it out, maybe we don't. Same old crap.
you said "pull it out"

Need to score a TD with no time left.

Detroit has all of their TO's and I doubt that the Colts would stop them.

Should Colts go for 2 if they score again? But Colts D would have to make a stop anyway...doubtful they can do it.

And on the first play, they show why this game is NOT over.
Detroit is going to kick a FG.

Put the ball in Luck's hand. The Colts are going to need 35 points to win this game. Luck is the only hope.
35 or 38?

Just can't count on the Colts defense for anything.
DBs, LBs, DL. All are bad. All let them get down the field in three plays.

I was excited as hell when we went up, but already knew we were probably going to give up the FG. I'm kind of glad. We didn't deserve to win it. This team suffers from the same problems year after year and Chuck Pagano can't fix it. He needs to keep catching more and more hell from the press. His teams start horribly game after game, year after year.
Chuck Pagano is the problem! He has his O coordinator of his personal choice now and it's still a rain of shit to start games.

Pagano calling timeouts while Caldwell let the clock run (as he should have been calling timeouts) is the last 6 years of Colts football perfectly summarized.

The last two Colts coaches having a competition of ineptitude. Pagano won.

Just more evidence that when Luck gets to take over and go no huddle, he gets it done.

Just more evidence that the defense is horrible. We DO have injuries to important players, but good gracious.

37 seconds and 3 timeouts and they didnt even NEED all of that. They went down the field in 3 plays.

It has been my biggest complaint since he took over the head coaching job. The first year you might have been able to put it on the shoulders of have a bunch of rookies as your go to players, but that hasn't been the case for a while now.

Can anyone explain why Pagano stopped the clock right before we scored? I thought Caldwell was giving us a break by not using his timeouts but we bailed him out.
