Now that the Pacers have pulled off the Game 1 victory over the Cavs, what chance does everyone give them of winning the series? They're now 4-1 against the Cavs on the year, so not out of the question. |

I thought they had a shot going into the game Sunday, so now I'm really liking it. I do, though, realize this is the NBA and the other team has LeBron, so we'll see how that goes. |

Now up 2-1. I like their chances if they can win tonight and go 3-1. 2-2 and I think the Cavs are still favored. It's really going to come down to hitting open shots. Oladipo was off last game but Bogdanovich lit it up. Cavs extra's...Korver etc., haven't really done anything. Hopefully our guys shoot well tonight and theirs remain chilly. Thompson starting at center tonight for Cavs and I would expect the ball to go inside early and often with a couple of ticky tack fouls to put Turner on the bench...it's the NBA...that's what I expect. I think the Pacers are better top to bottom but they have LeBron, we don't. Whatever the result is, this team has been fun to watch this season. So glad the trade worked out as it did and I don't have to watch Paul George whining on every call and whining that he needs help, can't do it all then throw his teammate under the bus because he missed a shot and didn't pass it back to him so he could miss it instead. It would be great to see them advance to round 2. Korver finally hit a few...enough to make a difference late and Victor is in a bit of a shooting slump. DC also. Bogey came back to earth. Vic is not getting calls underneath on penetration plays and his jumper isn't going down. Two days off before game 5. Hopefully the extra day of rest will help him get his legs back but it also will help Lebron and the Cavs. Despite some poor shooting, they still could've won both games they lost. They really need to knock down the open shots to win the series. Edited by Gary1888, Apr 23 2018, 07:25 AM.

I’m much less optimistic about their chances now than I was before. Seems like this happens all the time to us: we are good but dont get the coverage, then win a big game and start mouthing off about how good we are but dont get the coverage (“That’s because y’all motherfuckers don’t watch us play!” -Roy Hibbert) and then don’t back it up, proving everyone right all along. Just shut up already. It’s obviously not over, but we still need to win a Game 5 or Game 7 in Cleveland, which will not be an easy task. |

Same for me. I think to win the series, they really needed game 5. I don't see them winning a game 7 in Cleveland and I could easily see this going 7. Maybe everything will fall our way Wednesday night. I think McMillan has done a really good job with this team but it seems we always have somebody get in early foul trouble and then their playing time is really cut back only to have them finish the game with 2 or 3 fouls in their pocket. One game it was Vic. Last game it was Myles. Myles was still on the bench late into the 4th qtr last game and he was the only one making shots. It would be a tough call who plays and who sits in crunch time. Sabonis was playing really well and I'm thinking get him and Myles out there together but who do you take out? Thad? He was critical on defense and rebounding. Bogey? He's always a threat from deep and has not been a defensive liability. Best chance obviously to take the series is to win game 5 and then have a shot to wrap it up at home but I will always believe that some players and some games are officiated differently than others and it's real hard for me to believe Lebron will be done in round one. There have been some calls that have went the Pacers way this series but I'm really, really skeptical they'll get any calls if it comes down to an elimination game for one of the faces of the league. |

The gameplan last night was great. They are really forcing Lebron to be the facilitator and the rest of the cavs are being shutdown. Ive always felt the best way to beat a Lebron led team is to just let him get his, but take away everyone else. Hes going to get his whether you want him to or not so make sure no one else does. Dipo dealt with a lot less double teams and trapping last night too. He went off. |

The Cavs took the night off. Can't really take much from that game. |
