One thing we could do to help this site feel a little more like a family (someone mentioned the old Coltpower site was like family back in the day) is to share a little about each other, so we're not just anonymous Colt fans. I remember the old site included a thread where people even posted pictures. I don't know that we need to go that far (feel free though), but maybe we can come up with something similar.

In the interest of not asking people to share more than they're comfortable with, how about this for a format.

It's a 69 Mach 1. 351 Cleveland (wrong engine for the car, but I just built what I had), 5 speed manual transmission. It's fun now, but getting it to this point wasn't always easy. Worth it though.

I'll add some more stuff about myself later.........
It's been almost 3 years, so I think that qualifies as later.........

First name: Michael

Hometown: Elkhart, IN

Profession: Draftsman/Engineer

How long have you been a Colt's fan: 1999

Length of time with Coltpower (or equivalent site): Started reading CP in 2005. Didn't join until 2006/2007.

Hobbies: Bowling, fishing, mushroom hunting, little basketball here and there, buying and watching LOTS of movies (got a collection I'm pretty proud of), binge watching TV shows, getting really into a video game for about a month and then never playing it again (except Fight Night, for those days you wanna knock someone out), growing out my beard in the winter and imagining I'm someplace warm, and going to the folks to jam out to The Beatles (and other lesser, but still good, bands) and play euchre in their smoke filled garage, followed by eating an awesome meal, sometime after midnight, before passing out.

I thought I had already done this, Guess it must have been the "other" board.

Scott
Born and raised in Newton Iowa, I lived in Indy from 89-2010. Became Colts fan in 89.
Business Mgmt
Live 4 miles outside of Van Buren Arkansas, We moved here so my wife could be closer to her family, Plus I liked the area every time we visited,

I love Golf, Just don't get to play much these days. I also enjoy my dogs very much, We do a lot of hiking together. Also would like to add, Support breast cancer awareness, My wife was diagnosed with Breast Cancer last October, It was caught early and it likely saved her life. She is a wonderful woman who showed the true meaning of strength as she went through her treatment. I'm a very lucky man. She is only 43 so again, Urge any ladies in your life to be sure and get screened when they reach 40!!

Scott,

Rich, I have two strays that we took in, We live in the country and dogs get dumped unfortunately, Or actually fortunately for me, Rascal is a 4 1/2 year old pointer, lab mix, Roxy is a 3 1/2 year old Shepherd lab mix. My sis in law lives about a mile down the road, Rascal came wandering up her driveway when he was about 5 weeks old, Roxy was about 7 weeks old when she came into our lives, It worked out well because we were wanting to get Rascal a buddy and low and behold Roxy showed up.
I walk my dogs a lot, Don't really need to because they can roam, I just like hiking/walking and they love going, As you know you treat your dogs well and they will give you unconditional love. My kids are grown up and moved away so the dogs are my kids now. Spoiled rotten I might add.....
And don't worry about anyone laughing at your breed of dog, It's your dog, your buddy and that's all that matters!!

Scott,
I get it. I volunteer at the Tony Larussa Animal Rescue Foundation in Walnut Creek Ca. every Thursday. I work in the Spay/Neuter clinic where I get to meet some great rescue dogs. ARF is a no kill clinic that rescues dogs and cats from local shelters and finds them good homes. We probably find new homes for 30 or more animals each week.
