Will be interesting to see what else this report says:

Letter that Paterno's family just sent out (can't help but wonder about the timing):

I am SO OVER this story. Paterno is dead. Sandusky is behind bars. Move on already.

Paterno's death and Sandusky's conviction don't address the bigger issue though of how college football, and the big dollars that come with it, can corrupt an institution if you let it. In this case it most certainly did.

Sure did, but I don't understand why it is still news. The whole thing was busted up months ago.

No one knew though had much Paterno or others knew. This investigation confirms what before was merely speculation. Now that it appears more factual what should be done about it?

One of those make-sure-history-doesn't-repeat-itself things.

The talk about the death penalty gets a little more serious by the day. This could be a really big blow. Maybe even knock Penn State out of the Big 10?

The NCAA laid the hammer on Penn State today.

Will be interesting to see if Miami, who had the whole booster fiasco gets the hammer next considering they're already in hot water again. Hopefully this is a new NCAA that takes enforcement serious.

Penn State will become less and less competitive over the next four years. It will be interesting to see if they can ever reemerge as a top college football program.
