These guys are looking pretty good. Is St. Louis #1 defense still on the field?

I know it's only pre-season, and it's just the Rams, but DAMN.......I'm starting to think that being a "contender" within our division might not be such a dream any longer. But it's still pretty early.

Luck is freakin phenomenal thus far. What a great thing to see after despairing over the loss of #18.

So Hilton and Brazill both chose numbers in the teens.

Very impressed by Luck. But for a couple of drops, he could be darn near perfect!

Concerns: Oline, Defense in general.

Luck is very impressive so far. Not playing like a rookie in his 1st game. And short yardage run game looking good.

This is common in pre season for the Colts though because we have 2 #s in the 80s that are retired and hold a lot of TEs on our roster since we use a 2 TE set.

They will prob end up with 80 #s once some guys get cut.

What bothered me the most was sending Luck out there for that drive with a backup O line.

Has he? Mewelde Moore did all the running that drive.

2 first downs and a TD on 3 running plays.

3 Kickoffs by Colts. 1 touchback, other 2 stopped at about the 22. That's a big difference from the past.

Still need better, but it's definitely better than the 12 or 8 yard line to start out, I agree.

O.K. I'm satisfied for the 1st outing. Still concerned about o-line when the real bullets start flying but it's a good start and it's good that Luck has some mobility. Gonna play some golf on this beautiful afternoon and record the second half.

I havent been impressed with the special teams. All of the kickoffs have been very deep, yet the Rams have taken them all our except the 1 that was out of bounds, and they still got past the 20. That tells teams that they should take every kick out because we can't cover.

Why call timeouts and then run the ball?

Cause it is preseason.

Luck had a 142.7 QB rating in his first NFL game. LOL. Where to go from here ??

I may get shot for saying this, but that's life. Hughes has actually looked good in first half. If, and a BIG IF, he continues looking good in preseason, do we consider trading Dfree for much needed help and $$ relief?

Well since we wouldn't be running out and spending any money we would save by trading him, it really shouldn't factor into anything.

Add in that we're probably set to pick up a 3rd rounder in 2014 for letting him go, and it'd have to be a pretty swell trade.

Maybe those 1s help make them look taller. :deal:

Impressed by Ballard; what a bonus that would be if he turned out to be a steal!
